When I watch this series I always think about the film crews. Where do they sleep? Do they bring food and water with them? How do they stay warm? Hats off to the staff who create this under harsh conditions.

Oh my country, yes its endless adventure living here, look at this in positive way, everytime I drive more than 50 km away from cities I feel freedom and adventure, its never boring. Kazakh means free people, so it is what it is.

They should have explained that the air is not so dirty and unhealthy because of the salt, but because the lake was incredibly polluted, and now all that pollution is on the soil, together with that polluted salt we saw.

As an Aussie i literally can't comprehend that cold. Like my mind can't fathom what it would be like. I've been snowboarding but that was still above 0°c. The coldest it gets here is maybe 5°c on a really bad winter morning.

The horses are given clean water. There is pure snow around and it is melted, then given to the horses. The nature and the air are clean, so the snow and water are crystal clear.

За 30 лет шал ничего толком не построил, наоборот разворовал и разрушил такую страну. Ни нормальных дорог, туалетов, предприятий, машиностроения, здравоохранения ничего нормального нет. Новый Казакстан это тот же старый, цены растут, проблемы с дизельным топливом, бензином, дорогами. Даже нет нормальной дороги между Алматы и Астаной. Все эти проблемы в стране создал старый жонгар со своей семейкой, пусть им это в 1000 раз вернётся. Никакого будущего для следующих поколений.

I feel bad for laughing watching Borat now. Being a Kazakh is no joke. I feel especially bad for those people living in the village where the Soviets stole their sea. It must reek so badly there even all these years later from the decomposition products of the sea life on the former bottom of the sea it would be pestilential. It's not just the salt that's making them sick, not at all. I'd move, even if that was my native turf. I bet very few can even afford to if they wanted to.
