Almost roads going to provinces of Cordillera especially during rainy seasons has lots of landslides. Roads paved off but due to landslide the roads becomes muddy as well as the soil becomes soft. The water and soil goes down from the top of the mountain that causes landslides. I've travelled different parts of the Cordillera. Lots of accidents happened, some vehicles fell and people died. The Provincial Government keeps fixing these roads but landslides always happens. Not only roads suffers landlides also some parts of villages. Villagers buried alive and some of my relatives were victims. Thank you for the said documentary.

Been there, done that!!! Actually, the road to Tabuk is very much better than the road to Tineg, Abra. In Tineg, only a WWII 4 wheel drive Weapons carrier truck, with a high ground clearance can make it up the mountains, and only halfway through. The rest, we have to hike (motorbikes nor horses cannot handle the rest of the trip) for 12 hours a day for two days to reach Poblacion Agsimao. I hope they have a road now. It was way back in 1993, but I still want to visit, or maybe stay in the mountains. I was a young volunteer doctor then. I think I am still strong enough to make the hike, after more than 25 years. I suddenly miss the mountains again, as if I am not in the mountains of Africa now, again, as a volunteer doctor.

I'm an American and lived in and out of the Philippines/PI for years and finally 'luckily' married my Pniy! I will say this about Filipino's- they can get-by, make-do and improvise whatever it takes to get some where or do most anything, i.e. I've seen 7-8 people on A Honda 100 and no one wears helmets and it works for them. I just came from a Filipina family birthday here in suburbia USA and now- 'here' most of these people- Filipio's and Americans are 'fat and spoiled' (No mo riding on bus tops and 7-8 people motor taxis for these!) Yet, I like the real Filipino's best for they just get there and make it work!

@@serval_fpv FYI I said national Road not all road in the country like barangay road or provincial road are included. For your knowledge there are 4 types classification of road in the Philippines 1.)National Road or Highway - this are the national rd. or highway connected to Provinces and Region and maintain by the national government . 2) Provincial Road- this are the provincial rd. in the provinces connected to each municipality and maintain by the province . 3) Municipal Rd. or barangay Rd.- this road going to each barangay and maintain by the LGU. 4) Express way - this road are highly maintain road like North luzon express way (NLEX), South Luzon express way (SLEX), Tarlac-Pangasinan La union Express way (TPLEX). and many more here in luzon. So if you want more details you are free to browse DPWH website for more info. Anyway Presidente Duterte have big project on mindanao road development like the proposed construction of express way and Phils-national highway and rail way in mindanao under his term.
