@@STCatchMeTRACjRo I agree with that. It’s the don’t let criminals out of prison period I have a problem with. Believe it or not some do change for the better. Majority may not but some do. Prisons shouldn’t be for profit businesses. Taxes pay them per prisoner. And for the amount we’re paying the optional programs in prison should be mandatory and there should be more. They should all be self sufficient. Growing their own vegetables and fruit, making their own clothes and providing a service for the locals to help pay for whatever else they need. These prisons shouldn’t rely completely on taxes. Plus with most being for profit businesses more prisoners equals more money. Why would they try to keep prisoners from coming back if it doesn’t benefit them? I know a couple guys that went in because they were drug addicts that got caught with their drugs on them one to many times. They went in as “functioning” addicts that still held jobs and owned their homes only to come out worse. It happens way too often. Our prisons are a school for criminals to get better. And most of them will be released back into the public.

Every ankle monitor needs to track and the people in charge of keeping track of them need to do a way better job. Also this is another example of how gun laws and gun free zones don’t work. He was unable to purchase a firearm legally but he got one anyway. The hospital is a gun free zone yet he still took a gun there. Gun laws only effect those that abide by them. You can’t punish, take away the rights and make law abiding citizens helpless against criminals for what criminals do. That makes no sense.
