You Never Want THIS to Happen in a Street Fight!
In a street fight, the last place you want to end up is on the ground. It's one of the most dangerous and vulnerable positions, leaving you open to attacks from multiple directions. In this video, we’ll explain why you should avoid going to the ground and give you essential tips on how to prevent it. We’ll also cover what to do if you get taken down to help you survive and escape safely.
Tips to Stay On Your Feet:
Maintain a Balanced Stance - Always stay on the balls of your feet with knees slightly bent. This helps you move quickly and react to any attempts to take you down.
Use Lateral Movement - Keep moving side-to-side to avoid being caught off guard. Circling your opponent makes it harder for them to grab or tackle you.
Keep Your Hands Up - Not only do your hands protect your head, but they also serve as a guard against someone trying to rush or grab you.
Create Distance with Pushes or Strikes - If someone comes in close for a takedown, use quick jabs, palm strikes, or shoves to create space and maintain your footing.
Tips If You Get Taken to the Ground:
Stay Calm - Don’t panic. Focus on regaining control instead of wasting energy flailing.
Use Your Legs to Create Distance - Kick your opponent's hips or knees to push them away, giving you space to stand back up.
Avoid Getting Pinned - If they mount or pin you, use a bridge (a quick upward thrust with your hips) to unbalance them and create an opportunity to escape.
Get Back to Your Feet ASAP - Look for an opening to quickly stand back up, keeping one hand ready to defend yourself while you use the other for leverage.
The key to surviving a street fight is staying on your feet-but if you do go down, knowing how to defend yourself can make all the difference. Watch the full video to learn these life-saving self-defense tips!

In every high school street fight I was ever in they were always bigger than me; and NEVER did these bullies get you down with your legs free like that. Even dumb tough guys always sat on my stomach and pinned my arms down. They were bigger, my legs had no control.

Did u have any training when the bullies got you down? Probably not. I can tell you that with just a little training, you’d be more comfortable on the ground & be able to control & reverse the situation. I’ve had limited grappling training but I can assure you that against an untrained bully, I will feel much more confident & more likely to control & reverse a bad position.

You are not going to remember this when it's real and the heat is on. Don't bite. You're gonna piss them off, and they're really gonna hurt you. The last guy watches too much tv. FightFast live up to your namesake show things the average joe can use right now.

None of this would work in a real wrestling match. The plan makes sense and is logical it’s the execution that is ineffective. Y’all need to look up the term “shrimping” in grappling.Shrimping is when you scoot your hips back to create space and angles for leverage.

Wrestling matches have rules bells ,referees, buzzers, stoppages and medics on the side but trust me if I’m fighting for my life or anyone else I’m avoiding a wrestling match.
