Hamza Azhar i think the scenario that this is applicable is in school shootings which is very much common in the US. If you are in the library while the shooter is in a different floor or building shooting students you still have ample time to do it. You can tuck in your shirt then insert thick books inside which will protect your front or back or sides. It will help you survive. What this guy is teaching is very much important and I don’t understand why do you have to make fun of it. And just for your information, a friend was saved by a book when a gunman shot her in the back and it hit her backpack and it was stopped by her book inside the bag.

That was pretty good. I’m a martial artist of 15 years and my last 4 years was as an instructor. That move is fairly effective and actually works SIMILARLY with either hand holding the gun. The only differences would be what targets you have available and what follow ups you have after u establish control of the weapon.

Thanks for posting this valuable, informative video. I live on a private college campus which prevents us from carrying defense weapons, yet crime seems to be lurking on the outskirts of our campus. Over the past week, there have been two incidents concerning firearms. I hope my college will strengthen our security and hopefully allow the students to carry for defense. For now, I'll stick to informing myself on how to practice self-defense with my body.

Excellent advice! You gotta practice this!! many times, this guy is a soldier, it's his business. Most people would not have the reflexes or emotional control over themselves if something like this happens to them. What I always do when I go to a creepy neighborhood is just look around and study everything I see, a would be mugger is looking for an easy prey, someone distracted and vulnerable, so I give everybody a nasty glance, like snake eyes or something, lol. It works, I have never been mugged. Being nice to people also helps, just blend in, like a chamaelon. Even really nasty people from the scariest places in the world will respect that and leave you alone. No matter the color of your skin.

If your best tactic was to run, and you pass some books to make book armor, you're best tactic is still to run. If you haven't spent 10+ years training to fight, your only 2 moves with any reasonable chance of going home safely are to run like hell or poke in the eye.
@lilpoohbear6532 жыл бұрын
he is showing simple moves that anyone can practice with a partner...some knowledge is better than none...I have been a martial artist for over 35 years. You do what you can in any given situation...he talks about this in several of his videos...running, poking in the eyes...throat punch etc...you just have to make sure to commit if you are in hand to hand
