I think it’s a great concept! I think the arpeggio baseline needs some work. Idk, something about the tuning doesn’t seem quite right, although I think the idea is good. Also, I would take out the high pitched wind chimes. If the song was mastered well, it could take it to the next level for sure.

Disagree with the comments saying it sounds like 2 different songs. It sounds unique and it’s a great take on the original. Just so people don’t assume i’m talking out of my behind, I’ve had a very long career under the moniker “Forekast” in the early and mid 2010s and actually opened for deadmau5 many times over the years. Taught production classes, taught ableton classes, etc. All of this to say, this is a great remix and you did an awesome job.

I can tell your rendition sounds great on its own but the remix itself isn't balancing well. It's definitely off to a great start but its sounding like a mash up more than a remix.

I'll be honest, this isn't great in my opinion. I think the single beat that's missing every now and then sounds very odd, like it just completely drops and comes back. Maybe a small effects needs to be added. The ''ringing'' sound that start at 1:30 is too loud, it probably sounds better when it's more at the background. Last thing is that I think the outro is way too noisy, there's too much going on at the same time at a certain moment and that sounds sloppy. Other than that I'm not sure if there's enough to call this an edit/remix.
