The term fridging actually has its origins in a Green Lantern comic book. In that comic Kyle Rayner's girlfriend was killed by a villain and than stuffed into a refrigerator hence the term "fridging". It served the same purpose that Deadool described in the video of moving the male hero's story arc forward. What is also funny is how Korg says "We call it bridging" this is a clear reference to Gwen Stacy's death who was thrown off a bridge by the the Green Goblin which also motivated Spiderman to take revenge.

I think of this as a reveal for the upcoming Loki finale. Meta has now grown so powerful that Loki is about to encounter it (and the young avengers have some work ahead of them to deal with that. And the fourth wall? That is obviously pruned out of any existence. So is the entire decade of the 1990s with meta-irony too, by the way. Since Disney own everything and has access to all the money of everyone on the planet soon. Strangely I am all for that too because "Meta". And the sound you hear now - that is generations of philosophers having lived during the past few thousand years spinning in their graves. With a combination of giggles and absolute despair from noting that this is what their efforts boiled down to in the 21st century. The "allegory of the cave" was a bit trippy for some millennia - now we have chaos magic and multiverse of chaos and Korg doing reaction videos and alligator Loki while Disney has access to all my money. Gotta love it - or start spinning pre-burial 😀
