Fans of the character or not, people loved the movie I saw last night.

But the funny thing is as deadpool (capitan deadpool jajajaja) makes an effort to make the X Men do not see it as a soulless but also to congratulate the driver for his wrongdoing. +Fabrizio cargnelutti At least for me… more. In my opinion it is getting a little tiring, and by "it" I mean the damsel in distress rousing herself just long enough to save the hero (or in this case anti-hero) in his most dire moment. Why yes it was inspirational and a game changer… the first time. This is also where I think Grace found part of Deadpool formulaic. Is it rude of me to ask for progress? Hopefully, with seeing the damsel (no longer in distress) working with the hero together for the entire battle to defeat the villain, as a real couple would do in a healthy relationship, each combining their talents (or mutant powers) to save each other. For example, in the Netflix show Jessica Jones, she has a boyfriend with powers equal to hers, is it too much to ask for a little reciprocity when it comes to the girlfriends of male superheroes? That’s all I had to say buuuut sidenote: Honestly, I do not think Grace was thinking of all that when she made her comments :-) I think she just wanted to see one of her favorite mutant characters on the big screen and you have to admit they totally teased her and other fans if she has striped white hair in the comics and is occasionally affiliated with Deadpool. Anyways, peace out! P.S. Are you really not down with seeing more awesome mutant powers brought to life just because they are wielded by female characters?

Yes, Deadpool should appeal to everyone and be as politically correct as possible. Shame on the filmmakers for making a film that accurately captures Deadpool's personality and excels at being a shot in the arm for the superhero genre. They should have made a PG-13 film that has no naughty swear words or nudity or violence. The filmmakers should have dropped all of that bad stuff and made a film that an 8-year-old should be able to see. Yes, that would have been so much better. Hey, someone should make a petition to have Fox release a PG-13 Deadpool! That would be the best thing to do at this point. Oh, and the petition should in no way be viewed as a vain attempt to attract attention to the person who created it. That would be silly if anyone thought that!

Weird Wombat Yes, Wolverine was the same. He killed hundreds and hundreds of ninja in his solo books and even tortured Matsou Tsuryaba by cutting off his hand and then sticking a claw up his nose and slicing open his nostril with the threat that he'd be back time and time again and Matsou would be left wondering what body part Logan was going to slice off next. This was after Matsou engineered the death of Mariko Yashida just when she was about to finally free her clan from Yakuza influence and be free to marry Logan at long last. There's a reason that Logan says, "flamin'" this and "flamin'" that. That's his swear word and we all know what he means. Thanks for the compliment on my KZbin name. Your reaction is "Whoah! Women know who Deadpool is." and you continue on saying it sounds like women only go to see Deadpool "because their boyfriend made them go?" Any idea how many gay guys you just insulted by assuming the only person who could have a boyfriend is a woman? Not to mention you classify your personal disappointment at Vanessa not having any super powers under the category "Alienating Female Fans", as if you speak for all female fans. You don't. Like any critic, you speak for yourself. But that boyfirend thing? As Deadpool might put it: "pphhhssss....such a faux pas!"

I watched both of your reviews, to the first review I was thinking. Why are you complaining about a movie that was obviously going to be vulgar and make jokes about sex having jokes about sex and being vulgar? Maybe it will keep people from watching it if they're not into crudeness and a film not taking itself seriously but if you take that away then it isn't Deadpool is it? If they want to see a 'family' superhero film then Avengers or the Captain America Civil war is for them and that is fine. But of course there shouldn't be a PG version of the film. You don't ask for PG versions of horror movies, because you are paying for a horror, likewise people here are paying for a movie not taking itself seriously and being crude. Anybody who saw the trailer knows exactly what to expect going into this. The jokes were funny, there is a hell of a lot more and a lot better ones than in the trailer, some vulgar and some not so vulgar, some brilliant references. The people who this movie is made for will love it for what it is. There was one joke in the film which I didn't really like, the molestation joke, it was a bit surprising especially the way it was just thrown in but none of the other jokes in the movie were remotely as bad as that one. Other than that one joke I am not sure what you can be offended by? Why does this movie let down female fans? Because it shows boobs? I don't recall any sexists jokes but even if there was there certainly wasn't anything seriously offensive regarding sex, race, anything. In fact as I said I can't even recall a sexist joke that was made but that might be my mind going blank on me. And really I'm not sure why you have to be a massive comic book fan to enjoy this? There were plenty of jokes to keep people entertained, jokes non superhero fans could understand, there were a few jokes that flew over my head and other people at the cinema because they were jokes about/referencing American things and I'm from England but there was still such a diverse amount of humour for people to get enough laughs and the story were fine, I am not saying it was a revolutionary, incredible storyline but it worked fine, people who don't know who Deadpool is can certainly enjoy this. After this one, you expanded on things more but I don't know what you're problem is. Yeah it didn't need to have sex scenes or show boobs, but literally what is the issue? It means people who don't want to see nudity can't watch it? So? Who gives a shit? They aren't the type of person who would be interested in Deadpool then are they? It literally is not even a slight issue. And you talk about alienating female fans because he made the 'my boyfriend told me this was a superhero movie' joke? Not every woman knows who Deadpool, a lot of men probably just found out who is when the trailers came out. I mean you make a point of saying you're not overly sensitive about everything but a joke like that is an issue, which clearly isn't directed at you because you know who Deadpool is. Sorry don't want to be rude and was respecting what you was saying up until then, but the way you said that the film is saying 'women only go to see deadpool because of their boyfriend tricked them' and it's really offensive etc, etc, no it's not, it literally made a joke about people thinking it was a different type of movie, and it isn't saying that all women don't know who Deadpool are, how could you possible think that. That's just pathetic, seriously get that stick out of your ass, the film doesn't take itself seriously, you shouldn't take that joke so seriously as to think it is attacking every woman, it isn't even attacking the women it is making fun off, like seriously, you don't have to justify that you are a comic book fan, you clearly aren't stupid so why would you think one joke means that they are attacking all women. Fuck sake, I know I'm getting annoyed by you just sounded like such an absolute cunt, were other women offended by that no because they're not children. And now you're offended by Deadpool being irresponsible? Deadpool being irresponsible? What? A guy who murders people encouraging a man to kill the girl he likes lover is an issue? You think that makes Deadpool not a nice guy and him not being nice is an issue? The guy who broke into a random guys apartment and threatened both him and a pizza guy with a gun because he was paid too. A guy who bought a drink and sent it to that guy to try and start a bar fight and disappointed nobody died? A guy who hangs out in a bar where people bet on people bet on who will die first. But he encouraged someone to kill the girl he likes lover and now Deadpool is not a nice guy? Wow, I mean what were you expecting from Deadpool Sorry, I'm probably a bit of an arsehole with my comments and I hope you don't take it too much to heart, you probably wouldn't read or give a shit about what I said, it is KZbin you would get much worse, and I'm not saying this because I don't like you or want to attack you. But fuck sake do you talk shit in your deadpool reviews. You make yourself look like an absolute twat. You are concerned that a violent film will make people go over the edge and kill or kidnap people, I mean do you not realise how many films there are like that, do you say that about all of Tarantino's movies? Bloody hell its fiction they should be allowed to talk about killing people and kidnapping people, especially when the kidnapping was a joke. It is a fucking movie where the guy goes around murdering people. You're a smart woman but this was just absurd. I understand if you took issue with the molestation joke, I didn't like that, I don't think many people liked that. But you take issue with Deadpool being violent, which might encourage other people to do the same(oh no ban the video games too), Deadpool being a bad guy and telling people to kill other people, nudity and crude jokes. You knew what the film would be like, it is like going to see an adult humour comedian and being offended, except nothing in Deadpool was that bad.

I've never disagreed more with one of Grace's review... Especially toward her opinion of the editing. Starting with the action scene that they did then flashing back created the perfect level of interest for the audience to be able to tolerate the origin story. The problem with a lot of movies is starting right away with the origin story... Which causes exhaustion by the time the action actually finally gets going

Imo the only thing wrong with this movie was that it was too short. It was so entertaining and so well done that I wanted more. Grace's complaints were mainly about jokes that she didn't get or things that she took too seriously that were intended to just be taken as jokes. The nudity wasn't needed, sure, but it didn't detract from the movie at all. Also, the movie and storyline was structured fine. Only an idiot wouldn't be able to follow along. She literally wanted them to take almost everything out of the movie that makes Deadpool, Deadpool. The part that pissed me off the most was when she said that Deadpool was ripping off other movies. It wasn't "ripping off" any movies, it was paying homage. Especially with the end credit scene. They wanted us to catch that. They made it obvious. It was meant to be satire. Deadpool is a satirical character. He was CREATED as a parody of another character for God's sake. Anyway this review sucked.

+Calm Gamer I agree but there is more to him than that. He's psychotic and mentally unstable. He's a broken character and while he does joke around most of the time, he's also just trying to hide the fact that he's depressed. He doesn't fit in anywhere. He's not sure if he's a bad guy who does good things, or a good guy that does bad things. In the comics his mental instability and years of regenerating has left his mind in pieces and he's not even sure who he really is. Combine all of that with the fact that he's horribly disfigured and you're left with a guy who literally cannot die but often wishes he could.
@jaymanzor9 жыл бұрын
+Ninaged that's not what anti-hero means. An anti-hero is a heroic character that lacks conventional heroic traits and has traits conventional heroes don't have. They may lack morality, idealism, and courage and be aggressive, cowardly, stubborn or greedy. It doesn't make them the "bad guy" though. Compare Han Solo to Luke Skywalker or Captain America to Iron-Man. All 4 are good guys but they go about things very differently.While spiderman might tie up bad guys and bring them to jail, Deadpool would rather just kill them. That's the difference.

So sad that Grace spent so much time fully painting each flaw of this movie. It was an excellent, cleaver, fun film that is in a class by itself. So what if it wasn't perfect? Everything made by humans is flawed, so what's the use in drawing your audience into the specific weaknesses of the film. Sadly, this review totally overshadowed all the outstanding aspects of what might be the best superhero movie in quite a while. It felt like reviewing a new car design and focusing attention to the fact that there was dirt on the tires. I loved Deadpool! It was simply GREAT!

I don't understand which comics book of Deadpool u read. Deadpool is not a gentleman nor a nice guy. He is an anti hero who kidnap people, blows shit up, destroys planets and sometimes in his spare time KILL THE WHOLE MARVEL UNIVERSE. So your arguement is PG13.
@nethstar9 жыл бұрын
While I understand your comments about kidnapping, I'm super SUPER surprised, and kinda stunned that the "Kill him" BEFORE the "kidnap her" went right over your head and is also not a cause for concern for your viewers. Did you miss that part? were you fine with it being a guy in the trunk of his car because it was funny while the comment about kidnapping a girl was not? All in all, those unhinged people that would take Deadpools advice, would be the same people you're reaching out to. They could easily interprete that as "Whatever you do, don't dare harm the woman. Just don't harm the woman." when it should be *"DONT HARM ANYONE!"* (And in regards to kidnapping, my family are from west africa. Guys are kidnapped and put up for ransom, it's not a one-sided issue. Please, please, please! don't turn it into that.)

I think the least of our problems in hollywood should be nudity nowadays, anyone can find it wherever the hell they want. True, the responsibility of adults is to explain to their kids how it works and why in some contexts it is bad. This movie is like any other movie where adults should not bring their kids bc they will never explain to them why guns and violence are bad. I myself have been coming to terms that some movies are just not for everyone and that even R rated comic book movies would be a great bussiness for companies like DC and Marvel.

Hi Grace. My husband and I just watched deadpool, and we both don't know anything about his origins, and the origin story in the flashbacks was really boring. Halfway through the opening, I was wondering if we would get an origin story because I was curious about it, but when I got the story I didn't like it. My hubby was playing games on his phone every time they had flashbacks. But the movie itself was really good.

I'm a little late, but I just saw the movie recently and I loved it, personally. I don't feel like it let down like you say, although I do agree with a few things: As a male, I didn't think about this while watching the movie, but now that I do, making the shishkabob joke sexist was wrong, although I don't think the kidnapping joke went too far. How many people do you think actually left that theater thinking that was a good idea? I also feel like this movie didn't need Copycat, but they have to have her in the sequel. This movie should've been about Deadpool, and it was all really a test, so they didn't want to do too much; this was to be a solo movie and not the introduction to yet another superhero. However, if they don't mutate her in the sequel, then I'll start having some issues. I also had problems with the nudity. I'm on the younger side (15) and don't yet feel comfortable with that kind of stuff (I don't mind dirty talk, I'm just not comfortable on seeing body parts) and that's what kept me from seeing it for so long. My dad offered to take me to see it in the theater his second time, and I said no because of that, and I think if they hadn't put that in, they could've gotten a wider audience. That being said, I really enjoyed the movie. The humor was great ("Fourth wall break within a fourth wall break?! That's like, 16 walls!" "All the dinosaurs fear the T-Rex."), the action was spectacular, and the story was heartfelt. I'm excited for the sequel and X-Force.

Deadpool is probably my favorite comic book character and I loved the movie! That being said thank you for pointing out how the scene with Dopinder (the cab driver) was super inappropriate. I swear it's the part of the movie I feel is the most cringe worthy/disturbing, because of the implied OK'ness with killing off your romantic rival and kidnapping your crush.

My girl got a kick out of the "my boyfriend said this was a superhero movie" bit she just glanced over and gave me a smile. As far as superhero movies go she comes with me to every single one but she still like a super casual fan. But she ate this movie up start to finish she loved it she even told me that she wants to see it again and I'm on the same boat, Deadpool is near the top of my list as far as superhero movies go.

This movie was perfect I'm a woman and I had no idea who deadpool was so the origin story was actually quite helpful in getting to know him. Every "sexist" joke was in good fun to me because everything he's doing was for the love of Vanessa. It was a beautiful movie defo not for kids though. I laughed at the kidnap joke and was not offended at all. Like he said he never told the driver to kidnap his rival and he was also trying to piss off righteous Colossus.

As a female viewer, I didn't feel unwelcome or offended in any way. The "my boyfriend tricked me into watcing this" joke, obviously wasn't aimed at female comic book fans, so I personally don't see no reason to be so offended by it. And the joke me made to the Taxi driver, was just that, a joke. I highly doubt he was being 100% serious and telling the guy to kill a man and kidnap a woman. You make it sound like guys will rampage through the streets and kidnap women left and right, because deadpool said so. I believe most people are capable of rational thinking, and can tell the difference between a superhero movie, and real life. Hopefully.
