I like drumming along to your video because the drums/album track are quiet in your mix. Good playing, dude! I would have so much fun playing this tune with other musicians IRL

Glad it helps man! Absolutely, playing this live is incredible, such a dynamic track

Great to see a fellow Irishman rock some Deafheaven songs 🖤🖤

Now we only need them to come over to Ireland for a proper gig

Unfortunately not, they surely are very high in my list of bands to see as soon as possible

@@akaalexanderking I seen them in Glasgow and in Belfast. Met them in Glasgow and had beers and smokes with Kerry and George after the gig. They are absolute gentlemen 🤘

Thanks a lot man. I wish I could say that after 4 Deafheaven covers I found the magic formula, but every single time the set-up is different. Always tricky but so rewarding

Man i wish you had solo lesson
@akaalexanderking Жыл бұрын
As in teaching how to play the solo or as in 1o1 lessons? I have neither, but one would be easier ahahah
@erikdale37754 жыл бұрын
Been trying to figure out that first 5 seconds of the solo right after those bends. I see you're using alternate picking, do you also use pull offs? If you have a tab you went off for the solo, can you send along the link? Thanks!
@akaalexanderking4 жыл бұрын
I didn't have a tab unfortunately, I tend to always play by ear. But I'll rewatch the video and let you know :)
@akaalexanderking4 жыл бұрын
Hey Erik, I went back and played that, I can confirm the first descending part is all alternate picking without pull offs (while I clearly go for hammer ons in the ascending part). It's pretty much a standard pentatonic rundown, lots of 14th and 12th frets ;)

I see you used chorus instead of phaser
@akaalexanderking4 жыл бұрын
A combination of both actually. You think the original is more of the phaser side of things?
@MK-oz2lf4 жыл бұрын
@@akaalexanderking Yeah I'd say the studio version is using phaser because even with the doubling I don't hear chorus happening. This still sounds good though.
