Don't get stuck playing ONLY the mixo scale, though. Jerry was a chord based soloist, meaning he followed the changes. During live versions you can hear him playing quick changes with the dim parts. He was essentially a sophisticated jazz player.

What a gem to stumble across!! One of my bandmates got me listening to Europe 72 last last year and I’ve been absolutely hooked on the dead ever since!! Incredible quality on this track and I love how you included the mixo scale for soloing. I’m sure I’ll be jamming with this video many many times in the future. Thanks man :)))

Hi Jeff! Love your videos and the quality of your backing tracks. I use them all the time. I think it might be an A/E after the F#m. I hear the bass go down on most versions.

Great stuff! Question: can you maybe try recording these and leaving out the signature Jerry parts? I ask because when I jam to this song, for instance, its a little distracting to have the Jerry part playing, basically doubling what I'm supposed to be playing.
@JeffWilliamsGuitar4 жыл бұрын
Sorry about the Jerry part. I put that in just a few tracks just for the intro as a reference to help people learn. Didn't want it to be a distraction. I'll make sure not to add them to future tracks.
@Jbhyers1234 жыл бұрын
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar you should put in all the parts, the others need to get a looper and record their own tracks as they learn,
