And it's a rear wheel drive vehicle, it's not a piece of s*** front wheel drive. That in itself is worth a gold mine.

They're selling those for double that on the car lot. $15,000 for one of those on a car lot. That's not a bad price.

That’s a sun roached daily. So easy to find “high mile” garage queen Mercedes and other high end cars there’s really no need to buy a roached one like that. The year and miles set the price, there’s no extra discounts from dealers for yellow headlights, sewn in seat patches, busted vents, curbed wheels and overdue oil changes. In my opinion, I agree 5 out of 10. On a side note, I can’t stand how much I see “dealers” do the absolute minimum to sell a car. They should have changed that nasty oil for goodness sakes!

To tell the truth, GREAT VIDEO! Extremely well-done. It answered a lot of questions. Am looking at a 2015 4Matic...

Seems pricey for a 2012. The interiors on that generation GLK are really subpar. Bought one a few years ago and now the faux leather on the driver's seat is ripped off; and the paint on most of the high touch buttons are scratched off. Still better though than the melting plastics on BMWs made during that time. My GLK is the most fuel efficient out of my personal fleet of SUVs.

What I look at hardest is mileage and service history. Then I look at rust, if any. Aesthetics should be good. I'm looking for one for about $20K, which is still a lot of money. I want low mileage, good service history and no rust, primarily. Everything should work and service should be up to date. My wife says "not red!" That's one of my favorite colors!

You should've had a computerized device to check for any codes that may come up, and im sure they will pop up like popcorn for that year and miles.
@DavidNaritaYT Жыл бұрын
I do that for all inspections. I don't always show the process. I'll just mention what I find if anything at all. Most of these dealers are clever enough to clear codes before I show up. So that's why my Inspections last about an hr on average. Let the car run long enough for codes to pop back up. Just don't show that whole process because it would be a long video most people would click off of. 😴

@@DavidNaritaYT So, did it have any codes?
@DavidNaritaYT11 ай бұрын
No it didn't, but that doesn't rule out issues. Many if the used cat dealers in the dfw are clearing codes before it hits the lot. So they do some repairs, but most won't spend more than $500 to flip a vehicle.
@rrnonya54728 ай бұрын
@@DavidNaritaYTlol, good video. Last one I looked at wasn't even worth a test drive, dealer cleared codes, didn't even wash it, just towed it back from the auction, marked it up and tried to pawn it off
@used2befast11 ай бұрын
What about tire date code, tread depth? Did you check brake pad wear all around? Would the new buyers be able to do some basic work on the GLK themselves? A 150K mile anything is going to need some service done and paying a Mercedes mechanic for repairs would be financially painful! :) Oh, any service history with this car?

Yeah, luxury vehicles are good for about 5 years before they start needing major maintenance. Otherwise they fall apart very fast.

I never claimed to know anything about Mercedes you're absolutely right! I do know cars though, and I am plenty capable of knowing wether or not a car is worth the asking price.
@yankee2yankee2166 ай бұрын
I think that's a good price. It would depend largely on service history. That low, dark oil is a problem, but I think these engines are good. That's not a few miles. For that kind of money, it might not be too much trouble.
