This summer will have about no poker, but it will have a lot of dealing poker. I'm dealing the summer poker series at The Orleans on W Tropicana in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2024 Orleans Summer Open is the official name. Here are my tales.

It sounds like you may have an abscess tooth if ice makes it feel better. They probably diagnosed and gave you Amoxicillin. This will relieve the symptoms temporarily, but unfortunately you will still need a $root canal$ or extraction to "cure" it. I hope that it worked out for you.

@@VegasPokerNomad They will look to treat the infection / abscess / injury first. Extraction is a last resort and they will not likely offer it as a solution on first appointment. If it's a high function tooth and extraction is ultimately recommended......consider a second opinion Nomad.

I'm curious, I live in Vegas now and have thought about dealing poker again, in 2-7 is there a burn card between the draw? I've tried looking up info and there is even mixed info on other games about burn cards. Thanks

Yes. Burn before each draw. Even if everyone stands pat, burn and give out no cards.

Clove oil for the tooth ache... use a q tip and saturate it.... rub it on the tooth and gums where it hurts

For 2-7 single draw does mean a made J (especially J8 or better) is a favorite over a single card draw (likely a flip but others probably know the math better). As compared to triple draw where you really need to make at least a 9 to win and often an 8. I enjoy lowball type games just because it is different thought processes and the ability to "squeeze" for fun.

I don't know the math, but I saw it a lot. Plenty of players stood pat with a Jack and played it cautiously.

There is a Debate going on at the wsop main event. Which is a $10,000 buy in freezeout tournament. You are in the big blind, first hand of the tournament and everyone goes all in. You look down at AA. Call or fold.

Not sure what you're air bnb situation is, but I would avoid leaving a pile of damp laundry. There is no where to hang it? With the Vegas dry air it will be dry long before you get home of hung.

It's a good idea in a dry heat if you're around. I saw people in the Arizona neighborhood in May doing that. But I wasn't leaving my clothes outside unattended.
