My narcissistic abuser ex was stalking me after trying to leave and luckily I was able to go to court and get a restraining order in place. The judge stated in front of him she believed me and he wouldn’t get away with what he did. I was so terrified before appearing that he would discredit my story.

Really appreciated how she talked about Judges needing to leave their emotions/biases to the side when making rulings and do what's right by the law. I've seen several Judges who have sided with parties, based solely on how they feel about the role those individuals play. For example, if it's grandparents suing a parent for visitation, these judges seem to think that all grandparents are good and that they are so important in their grandchildren's lives, no matter the circumstances and regardless of the false pretenses the grandparents used to drag the parent to court. This bias is compounded further when the Judge is a grandparent, themselves, or they've had positive experiences in their own lives regarding the grandparent role. I've got one thing to say to that: Not all grandparents are good people, and not all good people are grandparents. You can't superimpose your lens on other's experiences. This Judge seems to have valuable insight and I wish more of them did. So glad she spoke to this. Expose the truth!

He and I (his mom) have worked many days, weeks and months for his case only to have his overnights taken away, and trial postponed for 8 months! Every lawyer has failed him. The judge and minor’s council seem to be biased against men. He needs a good female attorney in Los Angeles. Where are you located?

Oh, God! What a brilliant exchange - and an incredibly worthy discussion. Rebecca, you are to be congratulated for bringing Ms Toler to your table and getting her insight, as a judge, on the entire system - the mechanics, the framework, the approach, the people who fill the courtroom and their treatment of each of these elements. To be watching an engagement between two great women here - whom I admire immensely - one a lawyer, the other a judge; speaking from their two different places, and two different angles, according to their roles inside a courtroom, is incredibly eye-opening and cathartic! Thank-you, both, for this very insightful presentation!

I want to thank you for your informative videos. So much to learn. I appreciate you! As a result of not giving up, just telling the truth and being involved with my case, my spousal support is finally re instated. He intentionally stopped paying for ten months. I then filed contempt of court which will be heard in March. He has been indicted on 9 counts, faces 45 days of jail time if the court found him guilty unless he starts negotiating. The worst part about this is, he himself, mstbx is also a lawyer. The worse kind of narcissistic opponent. He is EXPOSED! We expect him to negotiate his arrears and legal fees. Leverage leverage leverage. I have more leverage after this contempt. I’m hopeful I’m making headway. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hmm. Yeah. I'm going through this. He walked out and cut me off financially. Without my family I would be homeless and with nothing but EBT. My cats would be taken away. He lied in court already when I went for a PO. The judge didn't see it and messed up my statement. I looked crazy because he brought a scum bag lawyer. He refuses alimony and walked out on a bed ridden wife. Now the case won't even be heard for alimony until MARCH. He left in December 2023. How is this fair?

It’s been 10 years I have been divorced from him. Through the legal system it has been one Custody modification after another. He stops at nothing. He didn’t get his way in the state we live in so he filed it in a complete different state because he was arrested in the state. This was due to the constant police calling on me due to our son not being at the phone call at 7p for him …he is hoping I lose my home. He is mad. And is playing the victim. I am working two jobs and raining two boys. Two attorneys which are hard to pay every month.

But the judge and his attorney heard the ex's blantant lies and saw the arrogrance--the narc said was an involved father with our sons but couldn't remember what college the son attended or if the son's car was leased. The narc defied court temporary orders. My question is the martial divorce agreement awarded us both a timeshare...he refused to sign the quitclaim deeds, even defying his attorney..What can I do? I have sent a certified copy of the dissolution sgreement to the company. His attorney no longer represents him. No contact with the narc as he's delusional and has been violent in the past

I spent $60K on therapy treating my PTSD. I got the money from a QDRO account. That is all I got from the divorce. He never paid child support or spousal support. It wasn't computerized in 1998 when my divorce became final after 3 years. So, I bought a car, some school clothes for my 3 children, a downpayment on an apartment and therapy. I know exactly how much I spent, because that is the amount the judge said I was supposed to get. My ex was supposed to pay for the transfer of the money and all court costs. I waited one year, but ex never did. So, those costs came out of my portion of the QDRO too. I paid for the transfer because my 2 youngest sons & I were living in my aunt's garage that she had converted into a makeshift apartment. My cars kept getting rear ended when I would try to go to work so I could pay rent. I got fired from 4 jobs because I was always in court, so I had to work temp jobs. 10 years later I took the ex to court to see if I could get some form of child support. Again, there was a series of car accidents that were not my fault, my garage door kept breaking, my apartment & cars were broken into weekly. I found out at that time from my attorney that my ex, during the course of my marriage, had been putting money, investments, another home, vehicles, in another woman's name. I should have filed charges or tried to do something at that time, but I was seriously afraid for my life. Yes, I did have a restraining order, that the ex violated over 100 times, which is where I stopped counting. But, because my cars kept getting rear ended and t-boned, I was tired of getting broken bones. I could not prove my ex was a part of it., & at the time I was living on the bare minimum with no assets, not even a phone because my rent was 75% of my take home pay. What I do know is that when my ex fell off a roof while he was off on disability from work (so he wouldn't have to pay support), he broke his hip, his back, his leg, ribs........it was at that time that all my "accidents" no longer occurred. I would love to take him back to court, but, of course, statute of limitations expired long ago....probably 20 years ago.

He won't mediate, says he's done nothing wrong. He's written contradictions, good evidence. I'm using his evidence against him.

Knock 'em dead. Tomorrow, court, the narc breached an undertaking by not paying child support, that's coercive control, is provable and an offense in Australia. I'm asking for cash, as he disowned my girl on paper,, He can pay to get his name removed from the birth certificate in an undertaking instead of a 5-year charge, to him, his mum, and dad. (who pretended to be solicitors over 12 yrs to intimidate me, but they are not). Boom

That's why it's so important that your case is principally based on evidence & facts , that way the judge won't be influenced by his lies.
