I own an Etsy store and I noticed a new shop that sold the same products as mine was copying the layout of my listing descriptions. They'd change a few keywords and re-write certain parts, but overall, it was copied straight from my listing. After a few days, I noticed they had retaken their product photographs and copied mine in terms of angles, product placement, background etc. I started to get a bit annoyed and then I noticed they had copied all my main keywords and my title keywords and layout. I then started to get a lot of red flag users follow my shop and I had purchases from customers who were in the same area as this new shop who was copying my stuff. Being worried about these customers and them potentially helping this new shop by leaving me bad reviews, I googled to see if this was a thing and it turns out there is an entire industry behind it and it's called "review bombing". I'm just waiting now to see if they all turn out to be red flag reviewers. Apparently it's common for sellers like me with Star Seller status to get attacked with false flag reviews.

Can you make a digital listing add a review and then change it to actual product? And what about now, its still works?

Thanks, i had someone buy all my top sellers, didnt contact me and left 2 star reviews, pissed me off and ruined my sales for 2 weeks, im now of to a libary as my products are easy to use even my son who is 10 can apply them,

Very sorry to hear that. That would piss me off too. Did you post a public reply to the two star reviews at least? I am grateful at least Etsy allows us to respond to negative comments for others to see. Best of luck at the library ;-)

What about also dropping the price of your item to $1 when you make the self purchase? That way the fee etsy charges is negligible.

That's a good idea! Also you can do digital downloads so you don't even have to ship anything

I accidentally registered my fake visa card under my personal email and phone number but used a fake name and address - do you know if the third-party payment share the email and phone number with Etsy?

Will etsy be able to tell that the accs are new and possibly lead to a suspension? I heard it's better for aged accs with pur history. But if new accs works, that would be so much easier

Hey Thanks for this sharing, it is very important🙏 can i ask why you have to actually ship a box? Does Etsy actually check to see a tracking number? And what happens when no one gets the box? I didn't completely understand this part 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thank again!! D.g

Well I have heard Etsy confirms delivery before you can leave a review. So I ship an empty box with delivery confirmation. Only costs a couple bucks. I have since heard from another commenter that you can sell digital goods where you do not ship anything. However, I am unsure how that would work for leaving reviews.

wouldnt it be easier to just use a vpn? then use taco tracking for the tracking numbers? then use privacy card for varying credit card numbers?

@@JMGENTERPRISES and also I used privacy card, it's free it generates working credit card numbers that connect with an existing card. You can make like tons of cars, so you can use a different one for each review
