Thank You! I haven't been able to get my 3 Nano's working and am not "tec" enough to figure it out! Hopefully this will help me get them up and running! Also going to be mining BTH
@electricbloke5 ай бұрын
You should really start by going on the website "mining pool stats", and click on BCH, and you'll see a choice of mining pools, then click on whichever choice you like the look of, and follow the instructions. It's just a case of adding a mining pool address, and your BCH wallet address to mine to, either in the Avalon phone app, or by entering your Nano I.P address into your Web browser, which will reveal a dashboard (called a GUI) where you can input your details there.

First time I have seen this. Nice find....But do the hashrate setting only work on specific pools I wonder? I mean the pools would have to be setup specifically to understand the d=xyx syntax right? On a side note, wonder if this works for other miners like old KS0s on Kaspa.
@BlueBearCrypto5 ай бұрын
I'm fairly certain it would work on all pools. But it would definitely need testing. You can do this with kaspa as well as I found sources talking about setting static difficulties on Kaspa miners too!

How much does running one of these cost per day in the UK (for electricity)? Thanks.
@electricbloke5 ай бұрын
Around 75p every 24hrs at a 23p per kwh rate, but that's on high power (4TH) around 135w. There is also some medium an low mode, the low mode runs at around 60 watts for around 2TH, so you can more than half the 75p, maybe 35p ish per 24hrs on low. Your electric may be more or less than the 23p per kwh I calculated it with, but you can get a good idea of a rough price.

@@electricbloke Appreciate the reply. I've kept mine in the box, but at 75p a day, that's not going to break the bank as I had feared.

@@jasonkidwell1767 it will give your miner the correct difficulty for each share it tries to solve meaning you don't get the big dropouts you may experience when you check the pool. The pool does try to work out roughly what difficulty your miner should be running at so it isn't needed if your pool hashrate is stable
