The worst, is when you're playing that fast and ACCIDENTALLY flip your switch, then need to find a fleeting instant to reach out and flip it back. I think that may be what happened here, not quite sure, but it's a huge annoyance. You want your switch close enough reach, but I've hit mine a few times accidentally live with my Strandberg (GREAT guitar though all around, highly suggested)

A pretty wide chunk of metal is hella influenced by classical music - Muhammed Suicmez might as well have been a baroque-era composer. It would garner a lot more widespread acclaim were it not for the vocals, but, hey, it's not problem if some folks can't dig on it.
@drewgibbs2834 жыл бұрын
xxLumian if you played classical music through a guitar with more distortion, overdrive and gain with some drums behind it, your result would be closer to technical death metal than you’d imagine. Which in my opinion is awesome, kinda links to how when classical music such as lizt and beathoven etc starting coming round, people referred to it as “the devils music” and now metal has taken its place as “the devils music”
@DeanLamb4 жыл бұрын
The band is hugely influenced by classical music, yeah. While we were writing this album, a few of us were listening to lots of Mozart and other romantic era concert music. My personal favorite composers are Bach, Mozart, Ravel and Debussy.

Awesome song. I heard them for the first time at a show a few years ago. They really blew the doors off the place. I really love how much classical influence is in their writing.

Imagine hearing the breakdown live at 5:30 and just talking your way through it. At least the guy on the left gets it.

I love the melodic runs, the extremely technical picking and tapping, and the overall grove that archspire songs produces. I just finished the bleed the futer album, what a masterpiece!

today has been a journey, knew about Dean's channel but never heard the band, today i decided to hear Relentless Mutation and OH MY GOD, absolutely loved it, never really appreciated tech death until i heard Archspire, the creativity and skill is just on a whole another level, not just Dean and Tobi but the entire band is incredible (best bass lines i've ever heard in extreme metal)

What's sad (?) is I almost always play like that. I dunno, I like being grounded.... or maybe it just helps with the fuzz from my Orange.

I literally can't believe how tight Dean is with all of that pickup selector changing. Never seen someone switch back and forth between the neck and bridge mid-riff before.

Ya'll are so damn good, I aspire to be on your level one day. To be able to make such technical music yet it still grooves hard as hell is so impressive.
