"Brothers" is the debut single by Canadian country music artist Dean Brody. The song peaked in the Top 10 of the Radio & Records Country Singles chart in Canada and #76 on the Canadian Hot 100. It also reached the Top 30 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in the United States.

I remember hearing this song in 2008 and immediately thought of my older brother who was a Marine that had fought in the Battle of Fallujah in 2004-2005. I also went on to serve in Iraq during "The Surge" in 2007-2008. This song brought a lot of emotions and regrets as the "what ifs" were brought up during this song. My oldest brother had also joined the Army Reserves not long after I joined the Army and I'm grateful he never saw the carnage of war. This song was one that was immediately branded in my memory.

Great song. although I served in 71/72, and I'm 21 years older than my little brother, who's served in afganistan and is a capt. , I still feel the song, know what I mean.

Im so greatfull that my brother made it out alive and safe... thank you all who gave their lives for us... and the ones who are still fighting for us... Love you all and god bless you all..

I think that this song says how I feel about my dad and my uncle Larry. I lost my dad to cancer 12 years ago. I just lost my uncle, his older brother recently. This song makes my eyes water. It is very emotional and very touching. I think that it summarizes how precious life really is

I remember shipping out in 08 for my first deployment and my sister didn’t come out till I was at the cab. 2013 i came home in a wheelchair she pushed me into our home. She said you taught me about life don’t give up.

I remember discovering this song when i was 3 years old. It was my favorite song for a good year before i forgot about it, as kids do. I rediscovered it a couple years back. I absolutely love this song and it will always be amazing and it will always hold a place in my heart as a staple of my childhood. I hope more fame finds you. You absolutely deserve it. Youre are so underrated and so talented. Please never stop making music. You will always be a legend in my heart.

I 100% relate to this song, my older brother raised me and my other brothers because my parents were always working, and he left for the army and was deployed to Afghanistan with 101st, and one day I heard that something bad happened and I didn’t sleep for days after that, until one day I’m in school and I get called down to the office and I walk in, turn around, and there he was, I dropped everything in my arms and literally jumped up and hugged him, my dad recorded the whole thing it’s on KZbin

I went, at 19. Thought I was grown... My little brother was around 7. Turned 21 in Baghdad, 22 some little place nobody knows unless they been. When he mentioned joining I told him I'd break both of his fkn legs... I don't regret my time. But I'll be damned if he ever sees that. He's in his what, mid 20's now. Growing skills and learning trades. I'm still out in the woods in a RV with a few dogs for company and a host of issues. Never, Lil bro.... I'll go back first. And God ain't helping anybody then...

Love this, lost two brothers in two years , one to Cancer the other a hit n run( still unsolved) lost a younger brother 15 years ago and one in 1974 .
