Hi Dean, I'm setting off on the Cleavland way myself very soon, it was one of my grandads favourite hikes. I'm enjoying watching your take on it mate! I'll even forgive you for some of your pronunciations ;)

Awesome to see my local area here. This coastal part is right on my doorstep, as is Roseberry Topping, Saltburn etc, etc. I feel so lucky.

Loving all these series of videos of your long distance treks. Today's reminds me that I need to do another coastal walk (especially as I was on the East Coast mainline train yesterday on a trip down to Newcastle). Glorious, as they say.

I came across your videos a couple of years ago now when looking for local hikes I could do with my dogs in the Peak District. I’ve enjoyed exploring so many new places with them thanks to your recommendations, but it always makes me think- you should so get an adventure buddy. You have an amazing lifestyle for a dog!

Thanks for watching Michael, I hope you had a great time walking the CW. It's such a stunning part of the UK. The route has a great balance between moorland and coast, I thoroughly enjoyed it

Always park there when we do the Captain Cook's Monument to Roseberry Topping round, something we have been doing for almost 40 years. You picked the right side to go up as the opposite if really steep and a right leg and lung burner. Got to admit we always drive passed Staithes on the way to Whitby or Robin Hoods Bay but it looks like we have been missing out, it looked great, despite the fast approaching night. Great 22 miles, cheers Alan

Enjoying these videos a lot! and what a beautiful evening on the coast. It my hometown, so I'll correct you on this one...Guisborough - the first part is pronounced 'giz' :p

Trail looked lovely, great views all along and what a quaint town to end up in. Almost worth arriving late in the evening as the glow of lights was very warm and welcoming. So glad you had another dry day, can't beat colourful crunchy (dry) leaves to walk through. Really liked the shot of the cows at sunset. That car hire service is pretty good eh? :)

Can anybody reading this help clarify if you were going to do this over 9 days what places would be the stop off points for 9 nights?
@DeanRead Жыл бұрын
Hi Laura, I’m not sure about 9 nights but I could recommend a 7 day itinerary. Starting in Helmsley, staying in Osmotherly, Great Ayrton, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough and then on to Filey. Hope that helps 👍
