Hi M8. Enjoyable videos. I'm new to you. But I live near Saltburn and walk to Skinningrove often. Now the Ship in Saltburn date's to the 1500 s along with some now demolished buildings alongside. The Victorian town grew in the 19 th century off the railways. Keep up the good work.

Can't believe you have been all up and down the North East coast and missed the best place out, Hartlepool! There is so much history here and lots to see, you would need 2 days to see most things. There is also Seaton Carew 2 miles from the centre which is a seaside resort with arcades etc. I am 78 years old and disabled and the only holidays I get now is when I watch your video's. Thanks to Helen and yourself I get out and it's like having mates to talk to ( virtual mates ) ha. Take care of yourselves. Love old H. x

Another 'masterpiece' James. Whilst we have trams running up n down the cliffs here at Scarborough I have to admit, the Funicular at Saltburn has been well maintained and the stained glass windows look really impressive. Went to Skinningrove in the summer, on the sunny day, and spent a few hours on the beach and looking for fossils. Enjoyed it. Weather was so good our day out turned into a tour up to Barnard Castle , over the Pennines and into the Dales. A brill impromptu week out. Ah the joy of motorhoming. If you get chance to visit Ravenscar for so. For a town that never was it holds a lot of history like remains of RAF early warning Radar Station and the remains of the old Alum Works which took the P out of London. Have fun..

Married my beautiful wife in Saltburn, had a church service at Our Lady of Lourdes church, and then continued to our reception at Rushpool Hall in Saltburn. Have a little google of it yourself if you get 5 minutes, it is stunning. Also quite a good bit of history behind it. Proposed to Lisa, my beautiful wife, in Whitby at the top of the famous 199 steps too, which you will mostly likely be there now 😀 That was after consuming some of the finest fish & chips in Whitby at Hadleys. Lisa knew something was going on, as she'd never seen me not finish a portion of fish & chips before 😂 I was that nervous I couldn't finish my portion 😂 very unlike me 😂 Brilliant videos, keep them coming 👏👍

Lightweight ! Taking the funicular railway instead of walking up all the steps to the top like I did ! Admittedly, like you, I couldn't resist a portion of chips from Seaview Chippy and ate them walking along the pier and back ...total heaven ! ... By the way if you were impressed by the water powered railway at Saltburn, make a note to visit the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway in North Devon if you ever get near there one day - it's something else ! ... The roads in that part of the UK are incredibly steep, I seriously thought I wouldn't make it up to the top of one ... just like the buses I saw carefully negotiating the winding road connecting the station area at Saltburn down to where you parked up. Wonderful little town ... keep 'em coming James !
