When I wen to Haiti in 2018, many people just wanted to leave but me I saw lot and looooooots of opportunities... While I was seeing those oportunities, young haitians siince they only wanted to leave, they were simply doing nothing...Not even trying to better their lives because they only wanted to leave. Only 2 I met were actually trying to do something... When someone is dreaming about other places, he can be standing on a pile of gold, he won't see it, he will just see the that one ounce of bronze in the other place

That is crazy terrible, but I am not surprised. If you go abroad and your skin is not the color that other countries feel is the best or better this is going to continue to happen to all African people trying to go to places like these to work. Africa needs to wake up as a whole and realize the tragedy.

African countries are complicit in the abuse. The leaders are squandering money for themselves instead of using it as planned. They ensure a lower class of Africans exist and can be exported to Arab countries as low wage domestic workers or otherwise. It is slavery 2.0

I knew a Kenyan woman that went through a lot to make it back home from Dubai. She opened my eyes to some of what’s going on with Africans going to work abroad as “cheap labor”. I share the brother’s frustration with their families/parents for being okay with sending their children off to send money home. There’s more I could say, but there’s also a lot that I don’t know about opportunities in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, etc. Thank you for sharing.

Here a perfect example that illustrate how alienated we are... The African nation soccer cup... The winner... Ivory coast... They are brainwashed to death. One person before the tournament start asked the Ivory coast soccer federeation why did they hire a french as the team head coach... They said because Ivoirian coaches are not good and not mature... So they got the french one, they were getting beat left and right and even lost 4 - 0 to Guinee.. They only went through the knockout stage because Morocco (or Egypt) won... The soccer federation fired that french coach and apointed an ivoirian one for the interim while they asked another french one to coach them... France said NO, so they had no choice but to stay with that immature bad ivoirian coach... you know what happened... They became unbeatable and they won ... They lost with the french one they regard very highly and won with that ivoirian one they tried to get rid of to get another french one... this right there sum everything up

Why do they look down on themselves then wonder why others are racist to them? Such a hopeless cycle. I need all black people to ask themselves this, if you were in the white man's shoes and saw the behavior displayed above would you not look down on Africans too? Or any other race for that matter? That type of behavior is not respectable and I know I would look down on them too because I am a realist no point in sugarcoating. How will I not think I am superior to you when you yourself believe that and show it consistently by your actions. No other race will ever rate you higher than where you already place yourself. Until Africans find some pride, shame and honor they will always be regarded as second class on the world stage. Lets stop tiptoeing around it and recognize this fact. No more excuses, be better do the work to be better or forever live in serfdom to others

I'm traveling to Dubai next month. This will be my 3rd visit there since last year and I actually love it. They were actually nice to me and treated me like royalty( not sure why) For me, it just feels good to walk around and feel totally safe without fear of someone robbing, stealing or killing you. No guns period. No police targeting you because you are black. Cameras everywhere. The most cleanest place on earth. On another note, the African people who are employed there work for peanuts. I have a friend who is from Africa and works at a company in Dubai. Most are from India. They only make $500.00 per month and they work 11 hours per day, 7 days per week with 2 days off per month. That is so sad😢. Their housing and food is free but they have to share space with 3-4 other people. The company gives them a round trip ticket every 18 months to fly home for a month. It's unbelievably sad. If only they knew better and realized their worth.

We Africans need to wake up. Skin color matters to other race, if we are not welcome by them then leave them be and we build our own. 10:35 I agree 100%. I believe diverse Africans are the riches on this earth, why because God bless us with the most resources. Yet we are the poorest amongst every other race. I also believe if diverse Africans we put our currency together we can have free schooling learning useful trade skills, free hospitals throughout Africa. What is stopping us Africans from building our own systems that are affordable living? We have a continent, right? In a way we hold ourselves back to continue to be oppressed.

They dont think our big nose is pretty, they dont think our skin tone is pretty, they dont think our hair is pretty (dont lie. Black women run and break their necks just to get hair like the white women. We know it too).white women might try braids but they would never be caught dead trying to wear an afro. Well...i want to see somebody do a topic on Africans not hiring African Americans in the workplace!!! I have experienced this in America of all places...I was overqualified for the job...the job was in the Security field...the office was located in my own neighborhood so I just knew that with someone who looked like me, I shouldn't have a problem right? NOT!!! They looked at me like I was from another Country.,.I came through the door with five licenses that I didn't need but I wanted to better my chances but that didn't matter...they didn't hire me...I called before I came so I knew they were hiring but when I got there they did a 360...I also found out that they were hiring Africans that didn't even have a green card or papers to even work in America...The nerve...All skin folks ain't kin folks!!! This saddens me because I have never been discriminated for a job that I wanted from a white person but here I try to get a job from somebody who looks like me and because of their own racist ways they didn't hire me!!! Yes, some black people can be racist against their own people...And some Africans aren't any different...some come here with issues against African Americans while living in America..I just wanted to put this out there because we speak about how other people treat us but we never talk about how we treat each other!!!

@gagoomt4076

Ethiopians in their own country abuse maids. My husband is Ethiopian and we live in Addis Ababa. Upper class Ethiopians even slap their maids here if they make mistakes. The underpay them and work them to de@th! The maids are lower class from the villages, often times under age 18 and working to support their village family members. The Ethiopians in Addis Ababa (especially the Amhara group) scream at them, make them work from 6am-10pm if they live in the home, they make them sleep on a cold floor (the weather is cold at night in Addis Ababa). They don’t even let them eat the same food that they cook for them! They will give them lesser foods to eat. I was shocked to see the treatment when I came here, I have lived in Ethiopia for 2 years and housemaids love to work for us because we are so nice to them. Ethiopians maltreat their own maids that’s why there is no outrage or campaign to get better treatment for Ethiopian maids working in the Middle East.
@gagoomt4076
@gagoomt4076 6 ай бұрын
Ethiopians themselves have no respect for housemaids in their own country. They have an extremely hierarchical culture where housemaids are considered on the bottom. I live in Addis Ababa for 2 years and am shocked at how they are worked from 6am-10pm if they are a live in maid, they are forced to sleep on a cold floor (it’s freezing at night in the capital city), they are not allowed to eat the same foods that they cook for the families they are working for. Many times the house they are in the families won’t let them use the same bathroom or shower so they use a bucket and kettle to clean themselves. I was looking at houses to rent and in some houses they don’t even have a toilet in the maids quarters - only a hole in the ground! It’s shameful! I’ve heard horror stories like some upper class Ethiopians will slap and scream at their maids. They will withhold their paycheck if they make a mistake etc. So this is why you don’t hear the Ethiopian community protesting the treatment of maids in the Middle East, they maltreat them back home!

From watching channels like yours (and others) the biggest things that seems to be holding back real investment into Africa (from Black Americans) are… 1. The lack of support/advice from legitimate business people on the continent 2. The lack of practical communication when it comes to ideas/opportunities. It’s not enough to say “there are tons of opportunities here in Africa!”… you have to SHOW people these opportunities. Directly. So that they can start building a vision. And then when they come to Africa they can’t be left alone to “fend for themselves” initially… they’re going to need real support to integrate and see how business is conducted. They’re going to need to be connected to the business community over there. The social community as well… so that they feel welcomed. Could be a new idea for the Kenganda channel (or a new one if you want to create it).

I'm a black American and have been vacationing in UAE twice a year for a few years. I have spoken to some of the black African women who have run away and become prostitutes. 😢 I've been told that they sometimes sleep 10 to 12 in a room. The UAE does have a dark side in the way they treat their black African workers. Black Africans Men and women mostly work in service positions. I've been told that even though they service me absolutely delicious food, they aren't allowed to eat any of the food. I understand these black Africans come to the UAE to work because there aren't any jobs in West Africa where most are from. I've been told that they're treated horribly. I've met wealthy black Africans who only come to the UAE to vacation and shop. Why do many of the wealthy black Africans spend their money in the UAE when there's large shopping malls right in Africa where they can shop and support their own businesses 🤔

Most people would love and accept blks more if they'd work on the crime, anger, hate, violence, theft, and destroying their own and others. I always here victimhood, but never about the people that you hurt. Its a two way street. Foolish pride can destroy anyone. Why would any other group want to welcome a group who tends to bring the most hatred, violence, and destruction everywhere while also blaming everyone but themselves for their own fails? I def don't hate all blks and love my blk friends, but ive also been robbed, almost killed and have been brutalized by blks and so has my family. Even this crazy desire to call yourselves chosen instead of realizing God's chosen are anyone who does his will and truly loves others. I want yall to feel love and live in harmony with all of us, but people need to feel safe and no one wants to take the blame for your own issues. Ugandans has to compete with foreign workers from Asia especially Filipinas when they are hired by Arab employers, there are thousands of stories of foreign workers being abused by their Arab employers and that is not colour based. When it comes to the salaries and types of employment, black people from Africa/ Uganda are low on the list then you have the Indians, and at the top the mzungus. It is true that the Ugandan Govt gets a cut of the money to send their workers to Arab countries and the banks earn the remittances /foreign currency sent back home by Ugandans. One of the biggest problems is that the Ugandan Govt is not taking action to provide jobs at home, they fail miserably to support their own people who have been abused by their Arab employers, and they will not take action to reprimand the Arab country for mistreating Ugandan workers. Even Filipinos who maintain a strong presence in Arab countries doesn't get the justice they deserve when even some of their workers were murdered by their employers, sure they Govt blocked the said country and refused to send their workers there until justice was served for the victims. Things like that will not happen in Uganda and if the Govt decides to boycott that particular country, they will just ban workers from working there like they did in Sri Lanka when one very cruel Saudi woman inserted tens of sewing needles in the arm of her employee, you could see all the needles on X-ray, disgusting, the Sri Lankan Govt called up the Saudi Ambassador to complain of the inhumane treatment of their that particular woman, but it resulted in Saudi Arabia banning Sri Lankan workers from working there and the poor woman didn't even get justice, the bottom line is that if you're a poor country sending workers overseas to Arab countries you're at the mercy of your employer Some employers may be ok but many are devils in disguise.

Great video! But perhaps they can see the opportunities in their own homeland but they can make a lot more money abroad to later take advantage of opportunities at home. In some African countries they can build a house for $5000 usd. In their own country it would take forever to get $5000 usd. But in a foreign land land they could get that in a few months even on minimum wages. I know several Africans who have done this. They have come to America and made made money and used the money to buy land and build house, apartments, etc in their home country. So, perhaps everything is not as it appears on the surface.

Hi Kenganda. I am happy that you have addressed this issue. Here are my answers to some of your questions. Q1. Why are we sending so many Africans to the Middle East? A1. We are not sending them. They are sending themselves because there are few opportunities in our African countries. If they stay around doing nothing they can end up messing their lives and smoke something we don't like. Which parent would like their daughter/son to fail after spending so much on them in school? Q2. How many of us are in the Middle East? A2. Over 170,000 Kenyans and 140,000 Ugandans. Note that the Filipinos alone in the UAE (not other Gulf states) are over 670,000. So we are not there alone and we are few. We will get there soon. The number of Kenyans in the Diaspora is about 3 Million while Ugandans are about 1.5 million. Tanzania has over 370,000 but I think it is because of their English language issue. To go anywhere in this world you must be fluent in English. Q3. Why is this a good thing? A3. I have explained. There are few opportunities around. But we would rather have our people busy over there than stay idle. And then there is the immigrant thing (is it bug or skill). When you go to a new country you assume that you have zero privilege and you have to work like a donkey. That's how America was built. That's why a foreigner can find opportunities in East Africa and I can find opportunities in Western countries. Q4. What are the negatives? A4. We have people coming home in coffins. Then we have people who take our bad habits over there by engaging in illegal activities. In the end, they spoil our brand. These are the people who should not be given passports. But then if it happens in the Western world it can also happen elsewhere.

I 💯 a little. They still shouldn't mistreat them just because they lack education. That right there is WRONG It falls under discrimination, that's like discriminating against those with a disability. Also keep in mind NO job description is beneath another . Every job has its own purpose, they disparately need workers for these jobs so they need to APPROPRIATE those who are WILLING to perform those duties . These jobs are HARDCORE , in my book those who work in the field in hot sun should get higher pay then those sitting behind a desk .. Being highly educated doesn't give anyone a pass to MISTREAT someone else . Maids are helpers , if people could do all that work themselves cleaning behind themselves and their own families then they wouldn't NEED to hire someone to help take that burden off .. Anyone who is helping you and making your life less stressful deserves respect and fair treatment. But then again those in higher education are not being taught "HIGH MORAL " values that need to be taught along with those DEGREES
@rantzqu7612
@rantzqu7612 6 ай бұрын
@onalpage1613 Suggesting that those with higher education have low morals is a mistake. Good family values, respect to your family name, doing better for your childrens sake. These are all reasons why people seek higher education. I am not saying ignorance does not exist, but if you want to prevent yourself from being treated as a slave, become more educated so you can be the head instead of the tail. This will present different opportunities where you may not need to subject yourself to daily arrogance. Suggesting that sitting at a desk, in my case, writing code everyday is easier than working in a field under the sun, (which i do when i am not at my desk) is quite ridiculous and disrespectful. I put the work in. Put the work in your self and stop complaining and blaming others for your own state that YOU created for yourself

A single negative experience shouldn't shape our perception of an entire country. In today's global job market, employers prioritize talent over appearance, prompting many countries to reassess their visa policies to attract much-needed skilled professionals.

Most of this is true, but it primarily comes down to mindset and personal standards. Many Africans arriving in Dubai often aim for low-paying and menial jobs. No one is forcing you to become a cleaner or a security guard. In my conversations with some of them, including the educated ones, it became clear that it’s more about mindset and standards than anything else. No form of racism can stop you from succeeding if you know your worth. That is why the same treatment is happening even on the continent. Sad
