I would like a video where it can be all focused on one build project, like just commentating on a time lapse of some project could be cool. There could be solo projects and maybe some builds on your smp servers like the pebble pyramid project from a while ago! I know a lot of people like that stuff and there are lots of big Minecraft channels that exclusively do this sort of thing.

the funny thing is that they already got the code for recoloring blocks (the biome system), rather than scaling rgb by the same value between all 3 in response to the light level, they can reference the source block and adjust it, ie more green and blue for sea lantern, and would fulfill this request without anything complex like raytracing shenans

Colored light... It's a big deal and something hard to put in the game, but Mojang had been doing changes to the graphic and light engine, so maybe we're not that far from getting this into vanilla Minecraft. Btw using RTX on Bedrock edition colred light is a thing.

Only RayTracing or PathTracing can add coloured lights cause it is the only method that can calculate dynamic lights in real time. For rasterization light is pre calculated and not phisical. there are not any rays so all the things that you see at screen are not process of GI (global illumination). The rasterized light is precalculated and so only developers can add coloured light but that will not work properly because minecraft doesn't have indirect light and the engine wouldn't interpretate it like a light source so coloured light can't come to minecraft and the unique method to fake it is adding a static coloured glow "ring" all around the object. In the major part of other rasterized games this work because they have GI map for static scenes and all the lighting is pre rendered like GEOMETRY DASH. The unique method is using rt shaders like SEUS PTGI, MOLLYVX, CONTINUUM RT and MINECRAFT RTX

It isn't included with the base pack no. Basically all you have to do is open the "block.properties" file with notepad++. Then you scroll down to "block.22" and manually write the names of all blocks you want to glow. In my case i had to add all colored concrete blocks like "white_concrete" or "light_blue_concrete". Hope this helped!! Good luck!!

It's not about it being unfair or how many features one has over the other. It's a feature that could have been added years ago, long before bedrock edition was a thing and given how old the game is. The lighting engine is stuck back way in the past. Also, it's not bedrock exclusive. It's RTX exclusive which comes with a huge price tag attached.
