Playing well is a few little things put together to make a whole, good tone , in tune, clear rhythm and a run or two to link then chord changes

12th fret G..? pointer is on D string isn't it..?

Ha, yes nomenclature! SO I think the correct naming is 10th fret for where the bass G note is on the A string. But because I think of a first position A chord as being on the second fret even though its bass is on the open string two frets down. So with an A in my private language being on the second, then that barred three notes slid up to the 12th fret is the G. Hopefully I have answered what you are asking, if not, flag what time in the video I need to look at!
