5:03 I think it was more that Oltura lured them in with its light in order to drain their lives away. Oltura is some kind of specialized Rathalos predator, the Rathalos knew this by instinct and fled when its light first started appearing, but eventually it became too strong to resist.

I think that the rathalos tried to fight Oltura, but only Razewing Ratha had the power to succeed

@@flallana18 but in an earlier scene (namely when you first see Rathalos again after their mass disappearance), one is seen approaching Oltura's light as if attracted by it, only to fall to the ground as soon as it touches the light. Plus why would the Rathalos flee in massive flocks when the light first started spreading if they had any interest in fighting Oltura? Getting away from it seemed their primary interest, it just didn't work since Oltura had burrowed all over the place and its light kept getting brighter and stronger until by the end of the game it was able to draw large numbers of Rathalos to it.

They did Guardian Ratha dirty. Had that calm music playing then cuts immediately to him getting eaten the hell up with Blood and everything by THREE big ass worms. Damn your father died to same way but it wasn't shown like this.

I have a feeling Ratha's story isn't done yet, we don't have access to its specific kinship attack and Monstie Index as well as having a unique ability, Solar Cry. This makes me wonder if we're going to need Ratha in the expansion (hopefully) as a teammate again

It'd be nice if we got some more story content, but unfortunately, Solar Cry isn't the *best*. It still costs plenty of kinship to use, and Ratha hardly uses it anyway. Besides, in the first game, Silver Rathalos had that skill. It'll be a while, but eventually when Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian come out, we'll probably get proper access to the gene. In the meantime, you don't lose much from getting rid of it

Just finished the game. Holy shit the final bossfight is surprisingly challenging and REALLY FUCKING INTENSE! Spoiler alert: Could someone explain what even is that amulet of Ena and its conection with the final boss, cause I forgot
