That point about the rng decos vs rng charms is really good tbh, I was originally pro deco-crafting but this has changed my perspective. I still think it would be better if we could craft both though.

But Deco's are mandatory for your builds. You can easily create build with a decent charm but not without the right decos

@@bluefiredemon448 decorations are mandatory for min-maxed builds, they are not mandatory to be effective in the game with the exeption of things like capacity boost, guard, guard up and focus for certain weapons, but decos like that can be melded anyway. You can beat fatalis using high rank gear, and most people would be using MR gear, most of your dps comes from skill expression, no amount of crit eye or attack boost will carry you in a fight.

We losing the earplugs buff so I already have to put that on. Probably some defensive skills like divine blessing. Status build up. I like some envision extender and window. @@bluefiredemon448 every status decoration is very common and can be melded, the other stuff is also fairly common, but are also just comfort skills that you slot in after you have your mandatory stuff. If you really can’t live without them and are having comically bad luck whilst farming, then just craft armour with those skills.

I agree with rng decos. End game world was not as bad as most people made it out to he as far as deco farming. There were investigations and event quests that made deco farming pretty quick. You even has the kushala event that you could farm with a HBG to insta stunlock for a sub 5 min kill.

i played over 100 hours on rebirth on PS5 at 30fps,. I have a pc with 5700xt and ryzen 5 3600. Mostly play older games on my pc with my 1440p monitor. I don't really plan on upgrading my pc or going down to 1080p on pc. I also just like playing on the couch(I know I can move my pc/online is free on pc). Will probably get MHWilds on ps5(90 percent of my library is on PS5)

Needing upscaling to play this game in 2k with my system is just ridiculous. I've a 4070 ti super and an i513400. I don't get it, most people won't even be able to run this. I don't think completely random Decorations are good but I do like getting the decorations from the monster from the hunt. I think if they specify more it'd be better. As for rng charms only one or two are ever useful, farming for charms is bad because 99% of them are useless.

With RNG decos, the sets feel like they grow with you as a player, as you progess you slot in the spots over time. I like this over Charms as you have you go to the melder, die in arena, then check what you get. It was so, so boring and didn’t feel EARNED.

@ltlsWhatltIs the only time you get an attack jewel 1 is the Witcher crossover quest and you have to fight the boss with a Pukpuk without it dying (which is hard depending on what weapons you use) other than that the RNG sucks bc some people like you get jewels within your first few hunts and other have yet to get anything just bc you got jewels doesn't mean everyone else is getting them at the same rate like I have 300 or so hours on my ps4 account and I still don't have an attack jewel 4, expert jewel 4, phoenix jewel 3, etc. You have 2 more attack jewel 1s than I do and the only good jewels I had plenty of are expert jewel 1s lmao

I don't get the point about RNG decos being better. I get you come from World era but pre-World games we have craftable decos and RNG charms which dropped from quests. That was the best system in my opinion. Simply because with only monster materials you could make full working set for each weapon type. Even at the beginning of the game. Talismans were just the finishing touch which were for people who decided to grind endgame. With RNG decos just like in World it's much worse because if you can't drop that 1 specific deco you can't even make base set for certain weapon type. I remember in World I was missing that 1 deco for 1 weapon type even after having 1000 hours clocked. That's insane to me that after that amount of time you can't make certain weapon class work. Compared to other generations where you could craft decos and talismans were RNG, it's much worse. I don't get why people want RNG decos, it's so much worse. I fail to see logic in this. The system can absolutely fk you up not dropping specific deco like fastcharge which is VITAL for certain weapon classes like GS.

i agree with some of what you said. Here is the thing the most fundemental decos (decos which weapon need to work optimal) should indeed be craftable but the more game changing decos (decos which skyrocket your damage) should be rng. in rise and in sunbreak i had to farm monsters over and over again for simple decos it was pure hell to the point where i actually quit because all the builds had decos which i needed to craft and i would just take too long. it became more about deco farming than monster hunting now it's rng again i have to worry less about the decos i get. Think about from Wilds perspective you'll be farming Armor + Layered armor probably later Augmentations - to be fair i don't know if augments will return Talismans Weapons Palico armor Sacred armor if we now add deco farming to this it's just gonna be too much it was too much in Rise and it will be too much in Wilds

You could craft necessary skills like Mighty Bow or Shield up. The most sought after decos like Attack+ wasn't necessary at all. You could build around not having the specified deco by replacing it with an armor piece. I have a couple thousand hours in Rise and still don't have the one I want for a SINGLE weapon. Talisman combinations are practically endless. Once you have all decorations you can get in World, you're set for all weapons. Decoration grinding has an end. You will always be after Talismans especially if you play other weapons.

There are great things in this game I prefer over the Elden Ring counterparts like powerstancing (dual wielding) but the game is held back by BS enemy placement, crappy bosses, questionable mechanics and boring level design.

I got burned out of rise after grinding anomaly investigations, and i did feel like it was missing that carrot on a stick from world, although i did feel like rise was balanced around craftable deco's, but i did feel like a lot of the old deco's were silently retired, which is such a shame, as you could get some insane builds in world, compared to rise which felt like a zero sum game at some point.

Rng decos were better in iceborne. With Steamworks and temp Zinorge quest, there was an end to it. With charms in rise, there never was, and the armor quios upgrades were just another layer of rng gacha

Nah, you can build a set without a optimal charm how exactly would you build sets without the decorations? if getting the majority of skills are tied rng that makes it hard for the community to recommend set builds, i remember this being a issue during world and icebornes life cycle where people couldn't build sets other people shared because people couldn't get the right deco. At least with rise people could make templates for non optimal charm/qurious crafting.

In sunbreak you could make 99.9% of all the skills you needed for your build and the talisman was just a was to be able to sub out armor for different skills. I have the opposite. I played Rise/Sunbreak for 600+ hours and I couldn't get the Charm combination that I needed to complete any of my sets. Had to scrap many, many set designs. Whereas in World, you make a set, and the set grows with you as you slot in the decos you need.

I agree with you about the charm and decos thing. I hated the charm rng. The difference is the decos are a piece of the armor where as the charms are literal armor, that means missing a deco is much less important or impactful as missing having a charm with skills you don't use at all due to rng.

Rng decos are worse. Charms don’t make or break a build. Decos do. I’m over 500 hours on a second mhwi save, and have 0 handicraft decos, 1 Crit boost deco, 0 earplugs decos, and 2 weakness exploit decos. In sunbreak, I’m nearly a thousand hours and I’m still using my weakness exploit two slot charm from high rank.

There a lot of quest just for deco farming. Did you do them?

You cant do a great build without a nice talisman, and once you have it theres little incentive to farm more. I prefer the ramdom decos, and ive played the older ones

​​@@DearGamerTVdeco farming is still extremly long (I did those quest many times with little results) and the decos are a problem for the majority of the game. Chatm impact less the build. Maybe the probability of getting good decos is better now, we'll see.

Glad more of us prefer decos than charms with multiple abilities. Decorations mix and match more and compliment the armor better. Charms you get one of to use at a time. Liked that in World, in Rise just trash.

@@bluefiredemon448 Exactly. A talisman wont make or break a build, but not being able to get the right decos simply because you get unlucky is incredibly irritating.

@@Edognightcrest use Alpha armors instead of Beta. Decos arent break or build unless you have 0 skills from your armor.

@@ahmadrehanalfariz5920 They don't until you need to farm 7 different decos in order to make the build you want, as opposed to the single talisman required in rise. Not to mention that you can target specific skills you want on said talismans so it isn't even true RNG.
