For those who want a list of all the tips GENERAL TIPS 1. Stand up straight 2. Keep limbs away from your body (arms away from torso, legs separate) 3. Create angles with your body and be loose and comfortable 4. Take the photo from a lower angle (hip height) FACIAL EXPRESSIONS 5. Point head closer to the camera and look down (to avoid double chin) 6. Squint your eyes a little (test it out) 7. Be careful with the duckface (instead: smirk) 8. Smirking: just think “I’m happy” instead of looking evil 9. Don’t smile too wide, smile kindly POSES 10. 7:27 (weight in back foot with other leg bent and leaning back a little) 11. Dainty hands (play with your nails) 12. Legs further apart and toes pointed at an angle inward 13. Hold a bag to occupy your hands and go complete the look 14. Create a Z shape (10:45) 15. Play with your hair One extra tip I have: when positioning your hands, pretend like the area your touching is in pain (basically touch the area softly and lightly). This will make your hand positioning look much more dainty and cute

The person taking should also make you feel comfortable or not awkward. They need to talk to you. Tell you ideas om what to do. You'll be at ease. Posing will come naturally if you two indulge rather than you standing there not knowing whether they took the pic or not... Etc.... Point is yiu two need to talk to avoid that awkwardness of someone really concentrating on you

The limbs away from body tip is gold. Sometimes super candid is great for me because I look like a regular happy person and not totally awkward. Some of my favourite photos are when I had no idea someone was taking the photo until the last minute (like the one in my profile pic) . Another good tip for awkward me is to take them when I'm with my nieces. I always look happier and more carefree. These regular photo tips though are awesome. Thank you so much. I think I'll have to take my photo regularly and try to look more natural. I normally look weird and awkward unless the photo is candid.

I loved the part about doing videos and having a double chin. I'm 51 years old and when I look back at my KZbin videos sometimes I look skinny and sometimes I look 10 years old and 20 pounds heavier because I do the same thing where my neck starts tilting back and the double chin comes out lol I'm glad I'm not the only one.
