This particular apartment's jeonse for this type is currently almost 450k USD. She got it for cheap because it's 1) lower floor 2) she was the first tenant and the house owner probably didn't have enough cash so they needed to get a tenant to move in to pay for the house payment. Because there are lots of house owners in need of tenants in newly finished apartment buildings, there are good bargains available. Really lucky find. Congrats on finding a great place outside of Seoul! Before anyone curses out the place where they are at since there is no appt like this there that is affordable, just remember that there are always pros and cons. Folks living in Seoul or NYC, for example, in tiny apts. with huge rent may stick it out there for the cultural and city vibes, a great paying job, and hate long commutes. Living in the outskirts of the city, the suburbs and further out may have jobs allowing the WFH or hybrid scenarios so long commutes may not be an issue. While one may save on rent, a bigger apt may bring up your water and electricity costs. You have more space, you end up buying more stuff to fill in that space.
