Just because DC and Netherealm collaborated on a comic and video game based on DC characters, doesn't make the product canon. That's like saying Superman the Animated Series and Dragon Ball GT are canon. You need to look up the definition of canon.

Another thing about the Q&A that really annoyed me. They debunked the multiple Ben army by saying that the episode showed that their personalities don't match so they get in each other way so one Ben is better than 3. DB used personality as grounds for an argument. They never do that. Personality doesn't matter in DB at all and they usually ignore it completely.

It's like you said, I would've been a lot happier with the outcome if the research was done properly. But Death Battle did such a piss poor job of representing BOTH Ben and Hal that this battle in my opinion should just be outright ignored. Ben should've been at his full capacity in this, split-second on the fly transformations, combinations with his various forms (such as mixing Stinkfly's slime with Heatblast's fire, or as Kuro suggested Jetray's hyperspace flight into a punch from Way Big or a ram from Cannonbolt) and none of the limitations of the original prototype or the Ultimatrix. Another important fact about the non-existant "attempt" at cutting off Ben's arm was that Vilgax had extensive knowledge of the original prototype, even going so far as to refer to himself as a "Master of the Omnitrix". Therefore, the containment device he had Ben trapped in was specifically designed to contain the Omnitrix, including the self-defense pulse. This is all knowledge Hal wouldn't realistically possess, and as such, his attempts to cut off Ben's arm would result in failure (just as Sunder's attempt to cut it off with his hard-light axe ended up).

They also massive downplayed the watches reaction time, going off the feat they "used" to justify thier argument, the watch didn't just instantly turn Ben into 1 alien to catch the big bag it cycled Ben thro ALL the aliens in that brief instantaneous reaction time

Kalina Hitana I think they did that because the green lantern rings were not affected by crisis reboot meaning the power of the rings stay the same they also compare feats from other versions and give the character that feat because the main universe one has did something similar to it alternate version but if the character hasn’t down anything like alternate version then they won’t give him the feat that why in bane vs venom they didn’t give bane the feat of holding the down doomsday because he has never shown that feat in the main universe since green lantern rings can’t be affected by the crisis reboot then they allow Hal to have all the powers of the old version because they those are the same prime universe just rebooted

With his motherbox augment he become a reality warping god living outside space and time. He didnt have his motherbox augment in the fight.

People bringing INK Tank like it’s the word of gospel is the most annoying side of this, it’s like there’s no debate to be had because death battle was “clearly” bias and ink tank “spat the truth”. It’s extra annoying how people just quickly went to back stab death battle on their battle/animation and how they didn’t even let them explain on their podcast.(and no, ink tank debunking the pod cast doesn’t nullify it, it doesn’t even debunk the podcast, he debates it and acts like his own points are totally solid and can’t be counteracted by Hal..”not gonna even talk about Hal cuz they already did”... *but what about talking about Hal and how he can react to Ben* ... seriously that part bothers me the most, at least Death battle asked the question of how Ben can counter and defend against some things, they even gave him the benefit of saying that at best he is on par...which given the data, he is. Well they could have worked around not needing to use extra aliens by providing research on the 1s actually used in the fight at which point theyd have realized greymatter's race instantly has a full understanding of how any tech they see works the instant they see it which would have altered who ben made use of, at the very least, alien x in way that worked around the ring, also alien x has been shown in the show to be able to pass thro solid objects at will something hals shield has never been able to counter

It is canon though, the episode treats it like it would've worked. If the writers wanted to show Ben's arm can't be cut off, they would've had the omnitrix stop Vilgax's attempt to cut his arm instead of Max Tennyson interrupting Vilgax.

@@thehighestorder2868 But there was also an episode in Alien Force where a bounty hunter was trying to get the Omnitrix, and the only way he could separate it from Ben was separating his hand and body through a null void axe. Except Ben and his hand were still connected, and if the Omnitrix were activated on earth, it would transform Ben in the Null Void. Basically, even limb removal doesn't work in the typical sense because the hand and Ben were still linked, and the Omnitrix AI basically took over controls of the hand to move around. And even then, it required a very specific alien weapon to separate them through dimensions. Plus, if the Omnitrix can save Ben from the Big Bang, it can save him from getting his limbs chopped off (at least in Human form)

But most likely, the constructions can only move as fast as the green lantern in question can think (in terms of neurons firing in the brain). And maybe there was a reason Sunder aimed for the Omnitrix and not the wrist itself. Probably because he knew the Omnitrix defences would protect Ben as a priority

I think you should watch the whole Q&A. Ink Tank leaves out a lot of answers and muddies what was actually said at some points in this video. Let's take that moment where he complains about the other Green Lantern being used for an example. Ink Tank fails to mention it was being used to highlight a fact about all Green Lantern rings. Which was why it still applied to Hal. What was specifically being explained you may wonder. Well those panels show that going back in time using a Green Lantern ring doesn't reset the ring's charge. This was part of a bigger segment going into greater detail about Green Lantern time travel and clearing up some confusion. Now I'm not going to break down everything Ink Tank states. I'm just giving an examples where there is more to what was being address in the video that Ink Tank doesn't bring up. I hope it'll encourage you to become more informed. I understand it might not change your opinion on the outcome of course, but its always better to have a full picture in my opinion. Oh though I completely agree they should have used the ultimate Ben Ink Tank suggests.

I agree with you on your first point about the green lanterns that are not Hal Jordan still having the same abilities (with the difference in level of power being the only thing inapplicable to Ha Jordan) but I still don't like that Death Battle didn't apply the same logic to Ben, they said that because No Watch Ben wasn't Ben Prime the Sotobro Effect feat No Watch Ben did shouldn't apply to the main Ben, this is wrong for the reason I stated before, but not only that No Watch Ben was using the exact same Omnitrix that Ben Prime uses, and this was the first time he ever used an omnitrix at all while Prime was shapeshifting with one since he was 10 years old. That is the main problem I had with how DB scaled Hal and Ben to each other.

Hal is the ultimate green lantern, his will is the strongest of them all, and his creativity is also one of the best ones, there are no “exclusive” abilities to individual ring users/green lanterns, as-long as you have the will necessary there are no boundaries. The reason why they use other characters feats on Hal, is because there is no reason why Hal wouldn’t be able to do them, especially because he has the strongest will of any green lantern. The fight matters but you gotta understand that their goal is to make an entertaining/fun show, sometimes they do go a little too “fun/creative” but that’s why they bring up the later points to clarify (the logic/explanation matters as much if not more then the animation, because the logic/facts is what they give to entice viewers into debating and coming up with their own conclusion) They didn’t use the strongest version of Hal (parallax) , they did use a composite, but of every story with Hal, same with using Ben, and every story with Ben(not future or alternate Ben’s that have different names or from the future)

Flawed. Multiple versions of Hal Jordan fail as a composite because unlike to most characters in media, DC has gone through 2 separate universe wipes which completely change how the universe works, and while one of them was nullified(Flashpoint), the one that matters(Crisis on Infinite Earths) wasn't. And thus, the Hal that could time travel was erased along with the previous multiverse, and the current Hal is a completely different character with a different powerset and weaknesses. They are not same character, and don't even come from the same universe. Ben Prime, on the other hand, has been the same character through all of Ben 10, with only his future versions changing due to time travel shenanigans.
