Reaper Pro Tip: To edit your drums straight on the track instead of the piano roll just click on your MIDI clip and type the letter E on your keyboard. That way you can edit your MIDI notes like in Pro Tools. It's much easier to write your drums along your guitars because everything lines up perfectly vertically. You're welcome.

@@aegisraven1284 Let me set the ingredients to make 300 plain bagels in front of you. You need to: Mix things right, know how to hand roll, know the salt to water ratio in your boiling vat, you need to know how long to boil the raw bagels for, you needs to set the ovens temperature, you need to know when to flip them, then tell when they're done.....come on, man, this is basic stuff....they're plain bagels after all.

I wanted to hate this drum library so bad because it's very much the typical modern metal sound, but I decided to go ahead and try the free demo and drop it in a mix. I'm not exaggerating when I say it totally elevated the track I'm working on to a level of quality that I'm not sure I'd have been able to obtain on my own. Definitely going to upgrade to the full version

This reminds me dude, Toontrack used to offer the app EZPlayer which would not only catalog all your MIDI files, but you could also resave MIDI files with the default drum mappings of every other major format (like BFD, Slate, Addictive Drums, Reason, General MIDI, etc). Toontrack's latest apps like EZdrummer 3 and EZBass are getting super complicated without offering that functionality. It's disappointing. Anyway, cool video.

I might just get all the bogren stuff, stop obsessing over tones and mixing and just write songs 😂 as someone with little free time to actually play and write music I love the mix ready stuff. If it sounds like everyone else so what? Idc if one of the five people who hear my song call me out for sounding generic or using fake drums or amp sims. I just wanna have fun making songs

Thanks for showing the how to on here as I'm a metal drummer my former band Blasphemic Cruelty I'm trying to learn how to use pro tools software and online stuff to put together my new music project. Couldn’t help but notice the Crate 4x12 in the background and wonder why that wasn’t included in the video where you shot out your cabs? I’m guessing it maybe didn’t sound as good, though if I recall correctly that Peavey cab you shot out in that video nearly tore the tops of my ears off with its shrill high end 😂

@@Bogren.DigitalDon't get me wrong, You guys DOMINATE with IR's, BassKnob and AmpKnob. Simply NONE of the demos of Krimh Drums impressed me. Maybe Chernobyl Studio will have demo/review as he knows how to handle death metal mixes. @@Lukasz_KLAT you are not alone, I don't get the key selling point of this. I'm looking for an easy solution as a solo musician and tend to go for EZdrummer because I don't need the sophisticated superior drummer. Yep, this one does death metal well but why should I choose this one? Fluff did the best video so far (Riffs, Beards & Gear), but sadly no one talks about the included midi grooves that are important to me.

Awesome review Taylor!!! I wanna know tho, would you recommend getting Hertz Drums or Krimh Drums if using one kit for different genres? I ask because I also make Pop Punk and Future Bass with rockified Drums etc.. In addition those kinda drum kits can get pretty expensive and I wouldn't wanna get all at once.🤣 I find both drum kits sound insanely good but I am relatively new to acoustic drum vsts and don't know which features would be the most important for my work. Yet still I wouldn't want to start out with cheap drum libraries that have limited features/sounds so I am ready to invest into one solid kit. I am not sure if any of those could fit into let's say a Pop Punk mix for example like EZ Drummers Pop Punk EZX, but on the other hand I find that Hertz and Krimh sound significantly heavier and authentic for Metal/Rock parts. And how would you compare EZ Drummer 3 to those above? Would also like to know if they work with FL Studio in case you know. Thanks in advance, keep it up!
@TaylorDanley Жыл бұрын
No experience with FL... well these days anyway. I'm not a fan of the Kontakt player, so that's a factor for me. Also, it's really hard to beat the song writing features of EZ Drummer 3, so that's a big factor as well. I'd say in terms of sounds and capability, I like Hertz. But I also don't think I could get by without EZ Drummer 3 just for the writing tools.
@STXRKZ Жыл бұрын
@@TaylorDanley Thanks for the answer, really appreciate it! I definitely get your point, but I have a hard time deciding between Hertz and EZ Drummer 3😅 Could you suggest any good EZX which sound similar to the Hertz Drums? In that case EZ Drummer would probably make more sense in my situation.

I had this problem too. The solution was to click the little "i" in the circle on the kits interface twards the top. Then next to "Midi Ch" click and select "Omni". Everything triggers now
