The fact that voting someone out doesn't automatically kill them, but instead keeps them in the game with a new role of being chained up to another player, already mitigates what drove me out of Among Us. The meta of: >Meeting starts >X: "Y did it!" >Y: "Wait, what, no I didn't---" >Z: "Do you have any proof?" >X: "No bro, just trust me! We'll vote Y out and, if it's not them, you can vote me out next!" >Z, A, B, C, D and everyone else: "Sounds good." >Y: "WTF?!" *ejected*

Also thought that was the best mechanic, it's also balanced because if you get voted out your face and name gets published, meaning Kira can kill you so someone that gets voted probably will die but they get a couple of moments to explain themselves and let everyone know who was sus

A cool mechanic would be if Kira could mess with the victims notes if he got his hands on it. That also could be risky because once you give the notes to someone else, that also would imply that the person who gave a note to someone else could be a Kira and that automatically would eliminate the value of an investigators note.

This game is so fun. When I'm Kira I don't even kill players at all. I just kill the npc only win every time by progression. Unless of course they see me use the book 🤣

I don't know the meta numbers but based on what I've seen, if everyone is too cautious about getting their IDs stolen, the Kira tasks will succeed more often and they can kill enough criminals that they'll be able to win via progress bar, which feels like it's decently well balanced

There's a lot of strategies for each role in this game i love it. Especially being able to pass the book. Ive written names in the open to get them to vote me only to have passed the book literally last second without being seen. Everyone was shocked when i didnt have it and L outed himself because he was so confident he was right. I told them they were seeing things 😂

Doesn't the games literally turn into avoid everyone until someone ID gets stolen? Don't get me wrong. Its a interesting concept but games for Investigators turns into "lets not do the Kira sabotages" the reward for completing one is too great for what you end up losing. You either do the sabotages and get your ID stolen or don't do them to zero down who the Kiras are from writing people off the list. L usually avoids all players and doesn't do the sabotages due to how great of a loss it is. Kiras could win by sabotages alone but risk getting voted out by complete random cause some survivors rather vote someone out at random for the chance to get Kira out due to the sheer numbers left if he happens to kill players.

Coordinated groups of investigators will bunch up (but not touch) and travel in groups of 3. If ANYONE doesn't follow and pulls out a notebook they get voted out immediately. There is always at least 1 non Kira-aligned player to witness if anyone pulls out a book, good luck winning as Kira without killing a single player or NPC. The verified investigator can go around and complete tasks pulling out his notebook.

Death note is naturally going to seem like a game that takes more brain power only cuz it’s a detective anime, but they’re the same thing, only difference is Among us people can see you kill and vent, and in here they can see you use the death note or have npcs say someone near them was suspicious
