Spiderman was always my favorite superhero. He's not perfect. He's got flaws and he's a bit naive and too optimistic at times but when it's do or die and everything is at stake he's who I want above anyone else. He will always do the right thing even if it destroys his life and or kills him.

Okay but the Goblin Formula, for the most part, makes you lose your mind. So, this would be something akin to Carnage, with the internal conflict coming from Otto Octavius' mind instead of Peter Parker or Eddie Brock.

I loved this entire recap. I really need to buy the trades now. Superior Spider-man and subsequent return of Peter Parker has been absolutely brilliant. You've also turned me around, and I really appreciate the Secret Empire storyline as well. I really don't know what camp I'm in now. Do I want to see a redeemed Cap come back, but be on the run with Bucky, like in the movies; or do I want to see evil Cap go down in a blaze of Hydra loving glory? Can't really work as 2 animated movies tbh. This arc had a lot of set up from all throughout Slott's run, and the complications with Spider-Man 2099, Horizon, Smythe, Hobgoblin, etc. It can't work without several movies leading up to it, even then, it'd be easier to do a more simplified version with an animated series.

I dont even know where to begin in terms of spiderman comics(my favorite other than wolverine and iron man). I just remember reading any comic i could, watching the animated series, getting the dedicated comics for the villians(venom is my favorite). Where should I begin in terms of comics? Or which story line should I read?. I used to read the ultimate spiderman, the amazing spiderman, xmen comics, dare devil, ghost rider, avengers, the zombie series, the comic where captin america gets capped(pun intended). Just some context. Wanna get back into comics again.
