This for me is Death’s finest unsung moment. Greatest song of any Chuck wrote. It has it all. Great song!

I oddly have a hard time with my third finger, I use 3 fingers still but it's my 1,2 and 4th finger. I've been trying to get better with using all of them 😂

I always loved Human, it’s such a complex and melodic album. Your face at 2:13 says it all :) Perfect cover as always. You are hands down the best person that covers Death songs. Hey, man. Me and bunch of people are cover 7 Death songs (one from each album, selected by our followers) to honour Chuck on the 20th anniversary of his death. The songs included are: 1. Evil Dead 2. Pull the Plug 3. Spiritual Healing 4. Lack of Comprehension 5. Trapped In A Corner 6. Crystal Mountain 7. Flesh and The Power It Holds If you’re interested in playing on any of the songs, feel free to let me know. We start recording in late November and one song will be released per day, December 13th - 20th (20 years gone).

For the Stealth, what string gauge are you using. Allegedly Chuck used 10-46 on his guitar, but I find that hard to believe because that gauge seems too light for D standard at that scale length. Also, what gauge are you using for the Solar V?
@DeathCovers Жыл бұрын
Yeah I can't imagine he used 10-46 either. I'm using 11-48 (I think), and in D standard on a 24.75" scale they're still quite loose. Anything lower would be insane. For my Solar V, which is in E standard, I'm using 09-42 NYXL strings.
@danielblake15373 жыл бұрын
I find it easier to play that very first few lines in this riff by open low E chugging to power chords 1st string....1st fret 2nd and 3rd strings both 3rd frets (power chord) and then simply just switch from that power chord position over one...so 2nd string 1st fret and 3rd and 4th strings 3rd frets(another power chord)......I see you slide down from low E string 1st fret 2nd and 3rd string 3rd fret (power chord) to low E string 6th fret power chord and then back up to low E string 2nd fret power chord, I just think it's easier the way I do it but still sounds the same!!
@danielblake15373 жыл бұрын
Oh very sorry for the horrible translation of what I'm trying to explain on guitar....I'm clueless when it comes to all the technical terms and technical skills like knowing all the scales and string theory and all that...I'm 32yrs old I've been playing since 1997' right handed guitars upside down just naturally by ear and taught myself how to read tabs..but, much later on but not exactly the greatest at transcribing them (like Nirvanas MTV unplugged tab book has alot of chords and seems like alot of errors lol) but yea sorry about that....hopefully you can understand what I was trying to say.
@DeathCovers3 жыл бұрын
I think I used to play it that way but when listening to the original I hear a slide up to the G#5. It is tricky though.
@degatagauwatie40732 жыл бұрын
I guess guitarist on KZbin that don't play to a recording simply don't exist. I mean, if I wanted to hear the recording, I'd play the recording ... like I've done a million times before. When I go to see covers, it's usually because I want to see if I'm playing it correctly, or otherwise having trouble figuring a part out.

I was soooo confused trying to read the tabs for this through the PDF.....the beginning riff where you put low E string 0000000000 then 1st and 3rd frets on first 2 strings down to 4 and 6th fret to 6th and 8th.... because when I played that back it didnt sound right to me....so I went back to look at how you play it in the video and realized the part I was confused about....I just usually play low E string 000000000 1st and 3rd fret power chord straight over with the same shape but over to the next strings 1st and 3rd fret and I just strum that twice and then go into the rest the way you play it.
@danielblake15372 жыл бұрын
Or you could also play it similar to how you play it with low E 6th fret and 2nd string 8th fret and just strum that twice but I dont hear that 4th fret low E string 6th fret power chord though

how did you make this cover without getting copyrighted? I posted a cover of the same song and it gets copyright blocked.

I appealed it and they never responded so it was automatically allowed. I’m a bit worried about future covers because they seem to be tightening the rules.
