The dunes of Panamint Valley are rather small and not nearly the tallest in the park. Eureka dunes are much taller. And no one is “hiding” the fact there were ancient lakes. Lake Manly was the largest.

Eureka Dunes is over 1100 feet tall. I lived at Willow Creek mining camp in Saline Valley for several years and I explored areas that few people were ever able to get into. I'll just say that throughout the years I saw many unexplainable "things!" There was an ocean at one time, because there are fossilized Trilobites and giant clams.

I read four or five of Carlos Costanada’s books and he definitely did NOT promote suicide, ever. And the narrator makes the story sound weird and suspicious and that’s not what the non-fiction books are like at all. Carlos is the opposite of weird. Although his books are very unusual because he’s working with an Indian shaman in Mexico, still, Carlos is an intellectual & an anthropologist from Colorado. I don’t believe this story at all. That the women had a pact to commit suicide. I’d really like to know where the source of that claim is because it’s very off the deep end.

I don't see how they can stand it there the heat is very bad there, i passed by there in my rig the heat and wind felt like real burning 🔥 fire flames against my skin the wind made it feel worse it felt like real fire flames on my skin it was hot my candy bar melted fast under one minute when i came out of a little isolated store. It gets so hot there that car parts like belts on the motor and other parts can completely melt off of car motors causing them to break down if they drive through there at the wrong time they say even the car tires can melt to pavement on the roads there. It's probably why the killers like it there since the heat helps them to end their victims off since it's so hot there. They say that flocks birds even fall out of skies dead that flys through there at the wrong time. I heard it got up to 144 degrees in death valley at one time.
