Little bit I realized: One many wonder how Mitsuru survived getting straight-up impaled by Weiss, but I think that was an invocation of the fact that, in Persona 3: The Answer, you fight Mitsuru as a boss, and she has the passive ability "Sharp Student", which reduces your chance of critical hits. Presumably, that's what saved her here.

@@milesandrews6711 Spoilers ahead: Nyx is basically death, you can't kill the concept of death, while she can one shot you. The only reason she was defeated was because the MC sacrificed himself. It is pretty much the same thing with Izanami: She is an undead goddess. So in other words this means Izanami is immortal, technically invulnerable and can banish people to the underworld. She only lost because the MC used Myriad Truths on her. Also, the power of bonds works even if you're alone, since this power comes from the bonds you created with other people, so their presence in the fight isn't necessarily needed.

@@milesandrews6711 Nyx can only be defeated by basically destroying the concept of death, and that can only be acomplished by something beyond universe level. She can also one shot anything that's not full immortal. Izanami is already dead, you can't just kill her twice. The only way to get rid of her is erasing the underworld, and since she resides there, she would dissapear along with that realm. This is another feat that only above universe levels would be able to do. She could overrun the world with shadows and destroy all civilization, and If you resisted she could just banish you to the underworld, where you would never be able to return if she didn't want you to.

Fact of the matter is that in this fight I'm not even sure Weiss died because she was screaming during the final hit, meaning she survived. Then we never see a corpse. So for all intents and purposes the implication is that she survived, more than that she died.

It's a crime that this fight hasn't even hit 2 million views yet, considering the brilliant animation and fight choreography, as all as the in-action storytelling is absolutely top-notch and what I believe to be one of the best 3D-animated Death Battles to date. @@zappingblue9095 That's not the only factor for why Mitsuru won. The only thing Weiss is better at is probably fencing and has speed that is also, *marginally* ... Mitsuru is way powerful than Weiss and she excels and has a lot of skills and abilities on her arsenal. Max. player level in P3 enables you to have 9999 health points and 999 spirit points. She can keep fighting and also, she can heal herself fully back to health and drain her foes' spirit (We didn't get to see Spirit Drain. Guess Mitsuru never needed.) to recover her own spirit, so she can fight until she is *dead* ... I doubt that Weiss possesses power enough to one-shot her. But Mitsuru *can* ... Sadly, they didn't let her have Mind Charge for the battle. (charges herself and makes a magic skill deal 2.5x time more dmg). We also didn't see Niflheim, which is an ice skill that deals way more than Bufudyne. Mind Charge + Niflheim would have given Weiss a lot of trouble. Also, she can cause charm and panic with random chances (they didn't let her have these as well...) but if she landed either one, Weiss would easily lose since she can't move (can't do anything, basically paralyzed and if she has healing abilities, the charm makes her heal her enemies) while charmed and can't use skills (can only use normal attacks and items) during panic. What else? Analytical abilities that her Persona has lets her spot Weiss' weaknesses (weak points) and also exposes Weiss to Mitsuru. If Weiss ever was able to vaporize Mitsuru's ice into steam with her fire and let's say, that steam engulfs the whole battle field, blinding both of them, Mitsuru still knows exactly where she is, without looking. And don't let me talk about the weapons, armor and shoes that P3 offer because they would let her solo even more. Clearly, we have a winner here and that is Mitsuru. And y'all should go see Sasuke vs Hiei. It's already ovbious who wins. Death Battle always picks someone that can nullify the primary element of the other fighter and is way more powerful, like Natsu vs Ace. Mitsuru vs Weiss is the same. And also, Hiei vs Sasuke... the same.

Man this really made me realize how busted the protagonist of any persona game can be. Immune to/ absorb element can be applied to literally any persona in persona 5 for example, and in turn it's possible to make a persona literally immune to everything, including gun and physical attacks. With that in mind a character immune to every element, physical attacks, and gun based/explosive attacks can beat just about anything under the sun like yeesh
