It’s literally an hour long session where they’re just going off of what they know. It’s not like they’ve done extensive research on both series before making this like they would for an actual Death Battle.

Finn and Jake have a whole arsenal of weaponry and magic on their backs, Jake can stretch and easily incapacitate either Mordecai or Rigby. Mordecai and Rigby on the other hand have The Power, various other mythical items, and a whole lotta experience fighting deities. Then again Finn and Jake also fought back the embodiment of death, a lot of dragons and monsters, and have faced trial after trial in their time. This battle would be incredibly close but I think Jake's stretching ability could be used against him if Mordecai or Rigby could trick him into a knot or block off a part of his body with something big so he couldn't go back to normal. But at the same time Rigby could be tricked into a trap just like Jake and it would be easy to fool him too. All in all it could go either way.

Mordecai's a simp, but he's a good man/bird and a good friend to Rigby. Throughout that episode, Rigby was literally going out of his way to screw with Mordecai, and Mordecai realized his mistake and asked Father Time to bring Rigby back to life. Remember, Rigby also screwed with Mordecai's life, he lied to Mordecai about getting into college just so Rigby wouldn't be alone.

I feel like Mordo & Rigs feats are scenario specific events and rarely, if any, carry over to other events. And many feats are due to a one off item. Finn & Jake feats are more consistent and reused across many events. I feel by DeathBattle rules these one off feats and items would not count. Or at least be negated by Adventure Time’s one off items and feats.

Yeah by the rules of DB I feel like Mordecai and Rigby aren’t as strong as people think. To even get the Power back they had to take it from an entirely new Universe in which they had no control of being sent to. It was easily snapped in half by Skips so one stray hit would break it and the Night Sword is a great argument as The Power belonged to a Wizard so it’s safe to say that it is magic and could absolutely be negated

Mordecai did not sacrifice Rigby; that is not how the scene went at all. Also, if you talk about how much of a scumbag Mordecai is, you should also mention how much worse Rigby was at the beginning of the show. On one episode, he was willing to let Skips die just so he could eat a chocolate cake until Mordecai convinced him otherwise.

Pretty sure Finn's final sword seals evil "power", so maybe Death Kwon Do could be sealed by it, if it's power comes from death. Hudson Aberdeen is one of the top 10 most powerful characters in the show. He isn't actually a vampire, he can go in the sunlight, as you see in a flashback when Simon leaves Marceline when she was a chiled. Hudson is actually the show's version of Satan, the lord of the night-o-sphere, (the underworld) Marceline becomes a vampire by the Vampire King, which is why she is the Vampire Queen, but she kills him as he turns her into a vampire.

Even though they can be killed by weapons and really haven’t survive anything shocking without help, while Finn and Jake survive getting beaten by a giant and beat said giant seconds later, also Finn’s night sword is more powerful than the grass sword, which the blade is very fast and can harm orgalorg a well known space like deity who could destroy a planet, while Jake maybe lazy but can turn into a giant or any shape, in fact they survive lava.

This will be long. Connections: Both considered one of the greatest cartoons of all time, the short one of the duo is extremely lazy at some points, both duo fought another before, both have inseparable friendships, both are WAY stronger than they look on the surface and are multiversal. The tall one of the duo have complicated relationship issues. In the fight, they both have instant win options. Both faced threats to the entire universe. Both love video games. The tall one of the duo are simps. Both of them have the power to bend reality. The short one of the duo is a bit of a jerk sometimes. Both had animal parents at one point of their lives. The tall one punched somebody they thought was annoying. Both are in a fight evenly matched in almost every single way. Both died and came back to life before. Above all, Both formed childhoods.
