It really doesn't matter if Alucard can see Dio's stand or not, really. What I do believe will define the battle is that, unfortunately, there is nothing in Dio's arsenal that can match alucard's immortality. When he was upset with Jojo, his strategy was to toss a ROAD ROLLER DA on Jojo's face. It doesn't matter how strong he is, probably it's nowhere near the power level required to actually end alucard's unlife. If you can freeze time, but you can't do enough damage to actually kill the foe, you can freeze time any number of times and the result will be the same. Dio probably will kill Alucard a couple of times, but he is not dumb, he will eventually notice what is happening, even if it takes 200 "deaths". And Alucard don't need to attack The World, he just needs to attack Dio. I do love Dio as a character, but Alucard was an OP character on an OP anime. Looking forward to it, though! And I'm still hoping I am wrong, of course!

I happen to agree with this statement. It's going to be interesting to see which versions of the character they're going to use. Will it be shcrodinger Alucard vs the world over heaven Dio? Or them in their base form? Either way I still don't see Dio winning this fight. Alucard is certainly slower and very likely not as strong as Dio, but what pinches this in his favor is his insane durability. He is going to outlast Dio. And if he releases his zero restriction, it's all over for Dio. Give him the cat boys powers and it becomes a stomp, even if he has the world over heaven.

The cloud one is annoying but the last two aren’t so bad. Dio should be just as powerful or superior to a vampire like Straizo so no reason his regen shouldn’t be comparable. And Dio at the very end of Part 3 (just before dying) was at his peak and was starting to get his vampire abilities back, so it makes sense to include both them and his stand if you wanna show peak Dio. The far more egregious mistake was saying Dio can fly when that’s actually an animation mistake in the anime (in the manga he’s clearly just jumping very high).

They clearly have no problems with using the anime for feats so eh. Either that or they’re pulling that from the OVA in which case Swan *REALLY* wants his favorite to kick the piss out of Alucard.

Fun fact: Creator Araki considers Dio to be 'the true protagonist' of Phantom Blood. Araki pondered in deciding what would be the scariest factor, and decided that "evil from the past" coming to get the present descendant would be the most frightening thing. Even if they did, it's implied that the way to create TWOH is the same as how Made in Heaven was created. This means he needs to be at specific coordinates at a specific point in time. Most importantly, he can't do it without Pucci, and there's no outside help allowed.

I don't think they will let him use both his stand and his powers from part 1 at the same time. I assume that somehow jonathan's body prevents him from doing so (or araki forgot), cause it wouldn't make sense for dio to use knives when he could just shots blood lasers from his eyes or instantly froze an opponent

@@chabri2000 If DIO only accessed "ZA WARUDO!" after putting his head on Johnathan's body, then the time stopping stand could've originally belonged to Johnathan. If so, then that would mean his final efforts to prevent DIO from escaping the sinking ship and taking over the world would've unintentionally made it easier for DIO to do so by making him even harder to kill than he already was. I have no doubt DIO would absolutely RELISH that delicious irony and make use of it whenever possible, especially against Johnathan's descendants. As such, it's possible he got so caught up in this new power that he forgot about his other powers.

And it’s rewriting powers we’re shown in Eyes of Heaven to have a limit to how much it could be used (I’m sure, but it’s been a while.) Alucard is a little harder to kill even when he’s got a bad hand stacked against him. I could be wrong though.

Yeah it really just comes down to if Dio can kill Alucard before the sun comes up. Alucard has no sun based attacks and JoJo vampires can really only be killed by the sun. Of course Alucard is pretty damn durable so I really dont think Dio can do it, still gonna be a great fight tho

I recall a breakdown a long time ago that compared/contrasted them and those buds are very dangerous to Alucard with Schrodinger's power. He could theoretically make Alucard forget himself and thus make him vanish. But overall both of their end-game forms are very different from each other so it'd be pretty hard to composite them with their early/original powers.
