Nah man, they need to work on this more. Currently it looks like the enemy just relies on sight to hunt whereas any predator uses sight, sound and hearing to hunt. They should be able to track you like most predators do. They can build so much more gameplay elements from that, having the player try and cover their own scent so that they can't be tracked etc. They are on to something though

Gameplay mechanics don't have evolved overall since at least 10 years, there is some improvement here and there like BOTW (open World liberties) , Elden Ring (Epic medieval open World available online with extreme difficulty), Detroit (cinematic direction, the same Can be said for Cyberpunk 2077) TLOU ( amazing narrative, animations and sense of immersion) or Red Dead 2(insane sense of details and general treatment of the biome over time), BUT I cannot name 10 games like that for the last 15 years and even the ones I have mentionned are not revolutionnary overall.

I've always thought that if someone can replicate the moments & feelings of the 1st Jurassic Park, but in a 3rd person splinter cell type video game. The opportunity for something amazing is endless. I wish we weren't getting so many 1st person games. It gets kind of old to be stuck in that perspective. I much like the freedom that 3rd person brings. You can do more movement, stealth, combat, climbing, exploring in a way that feels like you are controlling a character. A puppet that u can immerse yourself in controlling. I much prefer that to 1st person. With all that, i still love first person games. I just wish we were doing more with 3rd person nowadays with our abilities.

It has potential. But a lot of things need to be corrected. The behavior of the raptors is very artificial. They are just walking. I do not feel predatory behavior. In Alien, the Xeno was actually hunting the whole time. But it is an ongoing project. So I believe it will improve a lot. I'll be waiting for the final game.

I've been watching this project for awhile. I'm not sure what is unique about this game. It borrows from Isolation but doesn't add something new (other than dinosaurs?). The whole thing about Alien was that the Alien was created as realistically as possible. It could hear pretty much everything. Killing it was near-impossible. It had an incredible amount of cunning and biological weapons at its disposable. These dinosaurs just aren't selling it for me. How do you walk past a raptor and why is it fiddling with a circuit break? Forget dinos though...DOGS have much better instinct and hearing than what you see here. Try to walk past a dog like the way the player did in the video. It won't work. Why would it work with a velociraptor? Instead of rehashing a brilliant game, can we just create something new and fresh?

Sorry but I'm sceptic. We see all these beautiful games made in Unreal Engine 5 and with interesting concept presenting something new, but when the actual game is realeased we get a boring game with barely interesting story, bad mocap and voice acting. Prove? Other indie games from this channel e.g. Choo choo Charles, Greyhill incident, Death in the Water 2 with mixed or poor reviews on Steam. I hope I'm wrong

What i hated about alien isolation is everything was useless except the noise maker. I also hated how the alien was rubber banded to your hip. I also hated how it could hear the heart beat sensor making that useless to lmao. Really the only thing that made that game good was the horror and story and atmosphere everything else was jank.

maybe you were just bad at the game? lol. The Alien was realistic. Of course it would hear your movement detector. That's what made it a classic.

@@namanrawal5849 No I beat it on the hardest difficulty. In order to do it you basically use nothing but the noise maker. Everything else is useless. Using the heart beat sensor is pointless if the alien is tied to your hip. it basically makes it to where you literally cannot use it.
