This is song is not alternate-picked.. you need to down stroke the palm mutes on the low e string in the main riff. You lose so much power and attack in your tone without down picking

ACTTUALLY down-picking is just the easiest way to get to said tone and sound (while it is harder to play at higher speeds), alternate picking, when it is perfected, can sound exactly as good (and allows higher speeds), especially when you only deal with one string-hits, so… whatever. You sound cool by the way, definitely in the right track to me
