I absolutely love Steve's character arc. In my opinion I love seeing his love for the game now. in the first few episodes, you could tell he was very confident but it didn't translate to the tabletop. Maybe it's age, maybe it's wisdom, maybe it is experience - maybe it is a health combo of all three - whatever it is, you have my heart and my best/well wishes, Space Marine Steve. Keep fighting the good fight, and please, keep knowing no fear.

Honestly, any time I see dreadnaughts, it always shocks me how much they get. Core, easy to make one hit on two’s, reroll 1’s, -1 damage, good in shooting and in melee. Tough and lots of wounds. So crazy

They're 185+ pts though. Redemptors are the biggest Space Marine vehicle after Land Raiders and Repulsors, not counting Forgeworld stuff. A model of such size and cost should be able to bring a lot to the table. It's more that other SM vehicles are underpowered for the cost.

It's not that Dreadnoughts get too much - NOT-dreadnought vehicles just get NOTHING. Space Marine tanks are probably the worst units in the game.

Perhaps just in general, I had the exact same match up quite literally the night before and I was running horde goffs. I don't get why literally 100s of attacks over 2 rounds wouldn't kill a spacemarine haha

This was a great match but its another example of why I REALLY don't like random Secondary objectives. Feels like the players are at the mercy of what they draw and their own strategy doesn't matter as much. It's like they're trying to check boxes of whatever objectives they get rather than trying to react to and fight their opponent.

@@MyTayte it's Templated very weird. In the core Rules under modifiying characteristics it says to first multiply then add. The writing of the Goffs +1S is much better, because it's obvious there.

It's actually the Vigil Spear from the Watchmaster's kit, except there's Necron blades on the front and back.

you are doing the strength calculation wrong. Its S5 x2 = 10 then +1 strength so 11

Not in this case. While you do multiplication then addition, when calculating strength you do the models strength bonuses first and then weapon bonuses. So +1 from wagggh affects the model’s strength, then x2 from the weapons. It’s explained in this FAQ www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Warhammer_40000_Designers_Commentary.pdf

I am confused, at 39:51, why were the stormboyz allowed to use the Wreckaz stratagem against the Watch Master? The Watch Master is not a vehicle, is there some warlord trait or relic or something that gives him that keyword? Also the key to avoiding morale with orks in 9e is fielding multiple units of minimum strength instead of big units, at least in my experience.

I prefer two Deff Dreads over the Mega Dredd, usually with 3 arms and a skorcha, maybe one with a stompomatic piston and the ramming speed strat to cover a lot of ground. They can do so much work and seem far more efficient for the price. I usually play Blood Axes which work well with Kommandos, but you would lose objective secured, even if you get a better initial deployment. A unit of squighog boyz with a bombsquig would be a good replacement for one of the stormboyz I think

I like dreads (in this case both for their 'mob' rule and all the stuff you can do with the models), and hog boyz too. Although if I had a Mega Dread (especially that one by Gear Guts) I'd play that one on camera. Who doesn't like a huge stompy robot? I don't begrudge the Warmistress her Stormboyz. They do have their uses especially in a mobile list like this one that looks to win on points rather than direct damage. I lean Blood Axe myself, but play any klan, and think that this list could go either Axes or Skulls but with all the large-ish infantry units she's fielding Death Skulls are probably the way to go.

Wait if you pile into a new unit during the fight phase I thought you can't declare that unit the target of attacks (referring to when the boss on squiggosaur piled into the character and killed him)

Yeah, I am pretty sure a unit can only target another unit in the Fight Phase if it was the target of the Charge or Charged or Heroically Intervened. So the Tech-Priest should not have been able to be attacked.

That Ork Truk surviving with 1 wound in round 1 was because the Deathwatch shot up the engine block not knocking the Cunningly Brutal Ork Meks put the engine in the rear of the Truk.
