Staying away from unsafe others is more important than connecting. It’s easy to connect u need to connect to the right people.

I was always telling my therapist that she shouldn’t mirror me because it took me out of ventral. But she learnt it this way and wasn’t able to change. It is horrible what therapists are doing to clients if they are not in contact to truth themselves

My therapist #11 did an assessment for Medicare. We both laughed about therapy itself and the therapist themselves: Primary barriers to recovering from complex-PTSD

Therapy should be more about facilitating the client to understand their own needs and give a place where they can be listened to. Many therapists can stop our journey into self knowledge and empowerment by doing things like this as it can strengthen the lack of trust and safety in the self. Or simply can keep the client from finding a place of safety in the therapy room. Many therapists need to learn to listen and adapt to their clients as not everyone will respond to their training. May techniques for example won’t work for the neurodiverse community as they are created around a standard neurotypical client for example

I do not think online therapy is ever the same or even helpful, it should be in person.
