Debate Review: Jim Tour vs Lee Cronin at Harvard

Are we close to cracking the origin of life problem or not? In 2021, chemist Dr. Lee Cronin declared publicly that "Origin of life research is a scam." Yet, scientists regularly claim to be close to creating simple and complex life from non-life in their labs, and the public is buying it. On this ID The Future, we bring you the first half of a panel discussion reviewing the recent debate on the origin of life between Rice University chemistry professor Dr. James Tour and University of Glasgow professor of chemistry Dr. Lee Cronin. Dr. Lee Cronin basically says we know life just didn't evolve from nothing but there was probably some kind of mechanisms that had to assemble helped make life, which we are going to keep looking for. Cronin and atheist also say life had to come from nothing, and if you say other wise your using God of the gaps arguments.

Lee Cronin was like Jardis, the white witch from CS Lewis’ the magician’s nephew & the Chronicles of Narnia, as well the the green serpent from the Silver Chair. Outwardly winsome but inwardly all venom and contempt for the other person. Also not forgetting how Cronin treated Hector Zenil’s offer to collaborate regarding Cronin’s Assembley Theory. Lee has to be exposed!

Jame Tour vs Dave Farina. As soon as Dave called James a liar, I would have stopped the debate demand Proof of the Lie, or an apology. When they were not forthcoming I would have told Dave You'll be hearing from my lawyers (Slander), and walked off the stage. But That's just me James Tour is a much nicer/better person than I.

There was no debate. Cronin just begged Tour to be nicer and claimed that being wrong is crucial to the scientific method.

Listening at min 59 and they're mentioning Dawkins belief that life came from aliens. So, does that mean that Dawkins believes there are beings out there that have "supernatural power", to create life, perhaps to create planets, or even a universe?? Why does that sound familiar 🤔
