Joey’s point about end of season schedule isn’t as great as he thinks it is. City have Villa, Brighton, and away at Old Trafford (a fixture they struggle with) in their last 10 games. Villa is better than Chelsea, Newcastle and Brighton are level, and rivalry games are tough. Plus City’s December is brutal and supposedly they will have to go through it not at full gallop and without the ability to use the January window. So I don’t really think anyone has a schedule advantage rn tbh

There are some instances when there is a dangerous counter attack on and the player stops the restart, those definitely need to be yellows. Same if it's way past the whistle, or if the player is over aggressive. Save it for special situations, or scrap it completely. You can't ignore it twice and then 20 minutes later give a player a second yellow for it.

In defense of Walker on the Gabriel goal, what exactly is he supposed to do when the delivery from Saka is that spot on? He's never getting higher up than big Gab is. He's at a disadvantage because he's backpedaling where Gabriel is attacking space. That goal has almost nothing to do with Kyle Walker IMO. I think he can maybe try to block Gab's run with his body but then you're risking giving away a penalty and it's hard for him to block Gab anyway because he's so much weaker (not a dig at him, almost every player on the pitch is weaker than Gabriel).

When they did have the chance they all mysteriously got cramp, even though they basically camped their own box and didn't move for 45mins. No sympathy for Trossard, but let's not pretend refs are consistent on this rule. I can think of 5 off the top of my head that weren't punished with a yellow. The few things I don't really agree with in the video is the Doku incident which it wasn't because Doku looked at the ref seeing where he was pointing to and he kicked it to where he wanted it and the ref dragging Walker away from his position after talking to him and making him literally sprint over and conceding a goal instead of waiting until Kyle was in his position and THEN blew his whistle and also people are whinging that Trossard was treated "unfairly" when he was sent off... No he wasn't, he smashed into the back of Silva and then BOOTED the ball away WHILE on a YELLOW card... THAT'S A RED. All day everyday. As far as "CITY FEAR ARSENAL!!!"... No.. Do we have a sense of "Oh... They've come to fight for the league, have they? Come on then..." yes. Yes I do.

@@alarrim29574 The ref was letting all of the checking go, he would have been let it go for Trossard (even when he blatantly went for player) the real issue is Trossard knew he committed the foul then surprised it was called so booted the ball in the air. He committed 2 wrongs back to back. Chelsea's game against Place, Jackson got a yellow for kicking the ball into the net past the whistle, so Arsenal whining about it doesn't make any sense. They even got favourable decisions like the block by Martinelli on Ederson, he only intended to stop the keep but they got away with it and scored the goal. For whatever season Arsenal in their siege mentality don't let things go and stay calm during the game. 2 times they've gotten sent of for the same thing yet aren't any bit more careful.

It was timed at 0.8 seconds between the whistle being blown and Trossard kicking the ball away. He was sent off by Michael Oliver, the same Michael Oliver who last week didn't give Szoboszlai a second yellow for kicking the ball away. The same Michael Oliver who didn't send Kovacic off last season for two clear yellows - possibly reds - because he didn't want to ruin the game. Strangely, he couldn't wait to ruin the game on Sunday. City fans should also feel aggrieved that Gabriel wasn't booked for heading the ball away when Haaland through it at his head. We can skip over the fact that Haaland should have been sent off for violent conduct.
