Thank you for coming to our college Arvind. A lot of students turned vegan because of you. Naturopathy itself is not any medical system that uses drugs. Its a way of life, advocating veganism for health. This particular student is into pranic healing as he argues that crystals have consciousness. Pranic healing system also says its unethical to kill animals and eat them. Clairvoyants of the system claim that Non-vegetarian food has dirty grey energy & therefore unhealthy for both body and mind. Its difficult to prove as there's only weak evidence. Some people through experience & practice know/believe in it. I don't see a space for argument here. The student is clearly ignorant and arrogant with his approach. But not all students and all naturopathic doctors have the same approach or opinion.

Okay, let's assume plants do experience pain or have consciousness (backed by some research papers as he stated). Now, the question arises, if we are consuming animal based products or animals (herbivores: plant eaters), we have to feed them plenty of plants first or create tremendous resources for their feeding. So, it results in the exploitation of both plants and animals. Moreover, consumption of animals or animal products eventually results in climatic changes, huge wastage of resources, deforestation, carbon footprinting etc. Now, if we are solely dependent on the plants, it would result in less exploitation or cruelty to our nature. Please, go vegan and say NO TO ANIMAL ABUSE, they are brutally tortured every second.🙏 GO VEGAN 🌱🌱 we are compassionate beings.

As a microbiologist I can relate to the guy who is talking about the pain that as been experienced by plant . Under a microscope, plants exhibit fascinating responses to stimuli that could be interpreted as pain-like reactions. Here are some examples: 1. *Cellular damage*: When plant cells are damaged, they release chemical signals, such as electrical impulses, that can trigger responses in neighboring cells. 2. *Mechanical stress*: Plants exhibit mechanical stress responses when subjected to physical forces, like bending or cutting, which can lead to changes in cell shape and gene expression. 3. *Electrical impulses*: Plants generate electrical impulses in response to stimuli, similar to animal nervous systems. These impulses can be measured using electrodes. 4. *Calcium waves*: Plants exhibit calcium waves, similar to those in animal cells, which play a role in signaling and responding to stimuli. 5. *Hormone responses*: Plant hormones, like ethylene and jasmonic acid, are released in response to stress, damage, or disease, triggering defense responses. While these responses are not equivalent to animal pain, they demonstrate that plants are dynamic, responsive organisms that react to their environment at the cellular level. Keep in mind that the scientific community still debates whether these responses constitute "pain" in plants. However, it's clear that plants are more than just passive objects - they're complex, interacting systems that respond to their environment. we can understand that even plants go through stress but as a human beings we are taking advantage not only of the domestic animals but also eating plants , deforestation and polluting the earth. I appreciate that you understand the pain that is experienced by the animal and you stopped eating meat. Aravind I know for the fact that you don't believe in god since you don't have any solid evidence but there are so many things like microorganisms which can only be viewed under a microscope, oxygen, atoms etc which has been discovered but before that if someone describes the existence of the invisible they wouldn't believe because they can't see it and hence my point yes god is not visible, I don't have the special equipment to prove to you about his existence and he can only be felt by your heart, if you believe god does not exist because there is no scientific evidence that does mean god is not present because before the discovery of microorganisms, oxygen and atoms no one believed the existence but it does not mean microorganisms never existed and only exist after the discovery. There are so many things that is not yet discovered by human beings and yet to be discovered so have a open mind to everything and don't set the bar high that god does not exist.

Scientists have differentiated botany and zoology based on several key properties and characteristics that distinguish plants from animals. Here are the primary criteria used: Cell Structure: Botany (Plants): Plant cells have a rigid cell wall made of cellulose, chloroplasts for photosynthesis, and large central vacuoles. Zoology (Animals): Animal cells lack a cell wall, do not have chloroplasts, and generally have smaller vacuoles. Nutrition: Botany: Plants are autotrophic, meaning they produce their own food through photosynthesis using sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water. Zoology: Animals are heterotrophic, meaning they must consume organic material for energy. Mobility: Botany: Plants are generally stationary and rooted in one place. Zoology: Most animals have the ability to move independently at some stage of their life cycle. Reproduction: Botany: Plants can reproduce both sexually (through the production of seeds and spores) and asexually (through methods like budding, vegetative propagation, and fragmentation). Zoology: Animals primarily reproduce sexually, although some can reproduce asexually (such as through budding or parthenogenesis). Growth: Botany: Plant growth is often indeterminate, meaning they can continue to grow throughout their lives. Zoology: Animal growth is usually determinate, meaning they stop growing once they reach a certain size. Response to Stimuli: Botany: Plants respond to environmental stimuli like light, gravity, and touch through slower, growth-based movements (e.g., phototropism, gravitropism, thigmotropism). Zoology: Animals have a nervous system and can respond quickly to stimuli through movement and behavior. Cell Differentiation and Organization: Botany: Plant tissues are often less differentiated and organized into simpler structures like roots, stems, and leaves. Zoology: Animal tissues are highly differentiated into complex organs and systems (e.g., circulatory, nervous, digestive systems). Energy Storage: Botany: Plants store energy primarily as starch. Zoology: Animals store energy as glycogen and fat. These fundamental differences in cellular structure, nutrition, mobility, reproduction, growth patterns, response to stimuli, tissue differentiation, and energy storage have led to the clear distinction between the study of plants (botany) and animals (zoology).

We as vegans need to ask specific questions and ask for proofs regarding the claims of these research studies.

Wow, all these years, I believed plants felt pain too. I knew the pain was not similar to human pain but still pain indeed. Thanks, Arvind, for this information. Also, thanks to the guy whose question prompted the answer from Arvind. To others watching this video, cut the guy (the student) some slack. He may not look like it but he's too young, he should have prepared better I agree, but let's hope he goes on to be a better person starting today.

This Naturopathy Student is not very smart, not very likeable and needs to stay in school and keep learning about animals.
