Yeah--people seem to forget that in every article i read. Mack had them going great in Texas. I feel for the fans of the Horns seeing what could have been if the fat-head (and fat-walleted boosters) could have only distanced themselves and let that man do his job. The reason why Saban wouldn't take that job--it's crazy to me to think that deep pocketed morons don't think coaches don't talk to each other.......is the very reason Mack Brown was fired or quit i can't remember.

I think Lanning can be a top 5 coach, but he hasn’t done anything yet really. Pretty much has lost all of the big games he’s made it to. Fickell might honestly be a top 5 coach, he took UC to the playoff, but probably won’t get the credit he deserves unless Wisconsin makes a deep playoff run or he takes a bigger job like OSU.

@@bradmurray7362 Lanning has the weakest resume of all these guys, but if Sherrone Moore followed Harbaugh to the NFL instead of becoming Michigan's HC, Lanning would be my top choice. It's projection, but I'm confident he'll be #1 on this list in 5 years. He gets it, he's elite.

@@mgoboski fair analysis. I can definitely see Lanning being a top 5 guy. Just think right now he hasn’t done anything to earn that title at least. I’ll be curious to see how Sherrone Moore does. First time head coach at a big time program is a head scratcher to me. And I’m an Ohio State fan. I like Day, but I would’ve hired Fickell in 2018 if I was the AD.

@@bradmurray7362 Ryan Day has a lot of beta male moments but he's an elite CEO of one of the best 3 programs in CFB. Ohio State has never been better. Tressel and Meyer beat up on a lot of weak Michigan teams, not Michigan teams that were capable of beating Saban in the playoff. As for Sherrone Moore, he has one hand tied behind his back because Michigan's NIL is pathetic. He was the right choice though, especially considering DeBoer was already off the market.

Love having the show back. Suggestion for the “3 minutes to talk about whatever you want” part of the show. Similar to what Liam did, everyone should bring a team they’re excited for this upcoming season for whatever reason. Not necessarily just national title sleepers, but maybe teams that will be high powered offenses or a team with potential to be the big upset puller. Just a friendly suggestion and hope it helps out

Longevity needs to be a factor and James Franklin has had Penn State in the top 10 since 2016. Lanning and DeBoer have both only had 2 good years with the same roster we don't even know if they're able to reload on top 10 players and coordinators yet.

Why is there no one that’ll even acknowledge the other side of Dabo’s methods? It’s always “he wont adapt” (in an oddly aggressive borderline personal way sometimes)… could he add a few from the portal sure but he’s genuinely committed to taking and trying to develop high school players. What is so wrong with that? Hes also offered several players in the portal they just didnt come.. another factor no one acknowledges. I think it’s pretty evident that the portal/NIL is not what most college football fans thought it would be and has become a problem. Is it really so bad to be loyal to actual committed players instead of hiring fuckin single year mercenaries to play for your team?? FSUs entire starting lineup was transfers last year how’d that work out for them? Also for the love of god pay an intern to segment the video so I can just click past the ads

Well, because the Bama's and UGA's of the world recruit the high school ranks just as well or better than Clemson but still use the portal to fill holes. With the playoff expansion depth is going to be more important than ever so it makes even more sense now to take transfers. You need to settle somewhere between the Clemson and FSU approach.

Dabo lost what Kirby Smart has been able to mitigate--his tenured assistant coaches. Who gives a shit about the portal. To me it's simple. You build a team like an army and you do it with recruits. You don't look to a mercenary (transfer) cause they care only about one thing. Gone with the wind if the $ is better elsewhere. Don't believe me? Look at FSU right now. Revisit FSU after 2 months this year. Look at Ohio State in November--and mark my words they will fall like a drunk fat girl with high heels. Go Dawgs , 3 out of 4.
