Debbi Honey, RN, Talks About Nursing Careers at Covenant Health

Debbi Honey, RN, joined Covenant Health as the Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer in 2017.
Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, Covenant Health is a community-owned integrated healthcare delivery enterprise dedicated to improving quality of life through more than 2 million patient encounters per year.
The health enterprise is also the largest regional employer. Debbi is responsible for overseeing the health system’s quality and safety of nursing operations. She has experience as a bedside nurse and has held nursing leadership roles as a consultant and a healthcare executive.
She is passionate about developing and growing her nursing staff. She instills the Pledge of Excellence in her nursing staff: to be the first and best choice for healthcare, to practice excellence in all we do, and to put our patients first.
In 2021, Honey was named a Fellow in the American Organization for Nursing Leadership. The FAONL designation recognizes a nurse leader’s sustained contributions to the specialty of nursing leadership, commitment to service and influence in shaping health care.
