Sooooo cute…I love the colors! Good timing for me…I was enjoying my morning coffee outside today…and a little green frog jumped off the umbrella and right into my coffee cup! Poor guy, rinsed him right off and off he went! And me to get a new cup of coffee 😂

I am in Canada on Vancouver Island, and we have lots of tree frogs here. We are here less than a year, but in the early spring there is a great chorus of tree frog noises. I need to study up on these tiny creatures who make so much noise. I actually got to see one up close. He was a little red and green, but so tiny....the size of your thumb! I definitely want to paint this guy!

You brought him to life!! Thank you for showing laying down the water in a controlled area and what to do with the paint so it spreads, yet in a controlled manner, as opposed to wetting the entire frog all at once. I'm going to try the splatters again tonight. I think i'm having trouble with splattering due to not enough water...or too much. Try, try, try is the only way to learn.❤

Thank you friend, Im glad it helped. Splatters are so much fun! Oh yes, that watercontrol again, its a tricky one, but once you practice it enough, and it clicks and goes well a couple times you get the feel for it more and more. Keep practicing that water control. I still practice my watercontrol exercises and washes, brushstrokes all the time. Its kind of relaxing for me in the evenings :-) Thank you for all your engagement here, support and kind words, Lets keep playing and having fun!

What a cute little frog 🐸 I used to keep them as pets in a tank, but because they’re nocturnal I rarely saw them unless I sneaked out at night to have a peep. I had to feed them live crickets which creeped me out, so keeping them was short lived!🤪 But they’re beautiful and I’m pleased to have had that experience.
