I would make the boxes a part of the gift they are so pretty and sweet, then they could use the box in their homes for storage. You could make them to fit their decor or style. Throw out the reindeer. Keep the mini ornaments and embellish gifts and your painted plants. I would try a coat of dark and decrepit over the box with the inlay. It may make it look like an old found treasure. Already subscribed to Zacks channel. Be well. Love the boxes and the jadeite ornaments.❤

You can try to add different press on flowers over the unfinished flawed flowers that didnt come out comoletely right on that Box top and or paint over the spots that didnt come out with a paint brush..⚘️💐.🌺🌸🌷The rest of your projects look fabulous with your special touch ♥️

The DIY brushes are the softest i have ever used. Pricey, yes but aren't all top artist brushes! Effeminately love the box painting!

Thank you so much we love our brushes. They are absolutely the highest quality possible and the very very softest they hold their softness even with tons of use. I tested them extensively because the soft bristles are essential to blending even though our brushes are premium, they are actually lower than many other brushes that are not nearly the quality.🩵🩵🩵

Debi, you are such an inspiration with great vision and talents. Thank you for speaking about the hard part of the creative process because that stops me before I start. Doubt is practically my middle name and I aim to change that. The funny thing is I love the handmade look with depth and without perfection but somewhere along the line I told myself things need to be perfect, like manufactured perfect, which isn’t my preferred look. So strange. I like the depth of an ancient hand carved, hand foiled frame, battered with time…so what gives? Anyhow thanks for your encouraging words, they are appreciated.

I love all of the beautiful colors of you home! It gives pure joy vibes. Maybe the designers of the stamps could consider putting a little pull nub or something on the backside, so it's easier to remove from a project, without smudging. Maybe you'll like stamping better then.

I love the projects, especially the boxes! In my extended family, gift wrapping was considered an art. We spent hours wrapping and decorating gift boxes. Only the box tops were wrapped and decorated so the boxes could be opened without destroying the decorations or the wrapping. We NEVER asked for the box back, but everyone recognized the artistry that went into creating them so the boxes were recycled year after year. It was really fun to see new boxes as well as remembering our past creative endeavors when receiving a gift in a box I had created or being able to recognize who made the box simply by looking at how it was decorated. And, thank goodness your dad had the foresight to use decking that can hold up to weather instead of wasting his time building a storage space floor with plywood that will easily rot. He made an investment in your future.

So you need to put a wooden block underneath those lids when you use the paint inlays. Or at least hold it from underneath while you're pressing down on the inlay. I love your videos and your storytelling and all your projects are beautiful.

I love those magnetic lid boxes ❤. Ypu know what I think would be fun. Make the box with a gift it one that is given back and forth. I did that with a fancy bag for a few years. It was so fun. Lots of remembering gifts it had held that we'd been blessed with.

Turn those failed projects into a happy accident ..the cardboard box top still has potential...it may not be what u imagine ..but if u took sum type of textured items and painted them then lay them down and pull off randomly...or added stamps or 3d pieces it could just be an interesting piece of art...don't throw it away..save for another day and revisit it...❤ That's the thing about creating things ..don't put too much energy into having a specific expectation..and then u won't be so disappointed..I think the box top fail is a great base for a new inspiration...I don't look at it like it's useless bcuz the flower.thing didn't adhere well..it's still pretty!!

Michaels sells glass ornaments, and if you go to the paint section there are high gloss, water based sealers that aren't that expensive. I just found a diy paint dealer near me and bought one lovely color... Every other dealer is 100+ miles away...

So much goodness! I'm working on the umphf to do a video or a live. I like seeing these because they push me. I've also had 2 very busy and stressful weeks! I'm not interested in wrapping this year so boxes and bags are more appealing. I also am not motivated to put up a tree so I'm going to buy a few from a friend who makes wooden tall skinny ones and I'm going to be satisfied and actually happy with them! Life is a process, why wouldn't crafting be a process? I like seeing your process!
