Dragons' Den

3 жыл бұрын

After his last business led to financial failure, the stakes are high for David Hastie. Mr Hastie is seeking £75,000 for the “world's first effervescent wheatgrass tablet” in return for a 10% equity stake but will the Dragons get over the lingering taste?
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

Avoiding tax isn't the same as not paying back creditors. You are allowed to have an opinion on whether paying more or less tax to governments who use tax payers money to fund their illegal expenses and lavish lifestyles and bail out their banker friends. But to avoid paying back your creditors who are entitled to get their money back is definitely immoral. Just saying. Government want you to think that tax dodgers are evil and immoral. This is the type of business idea you pursue after winning in business and you've got millions in the bank. Your first business idea should be a product that has a mass appeal, relatively cheap to make with a profit margin of 4-5 times cost to produce. @@nifralo2752 some sugar free candies use that and if i remember right it tastes okay, though its calorie light and not totally calorie free. It could be something to think about. It all depends on how much they would need to make a drink taste good. Some candies that use xitol will have a warning about the laxitive effect and will tell you to eat a fairly small portion until you know how your body reacts to it (ie, some people might have a stronger reaction to it than others) Since it is used in food I don't think its effect is that strong on most people but I do see why a lot of sugar free products use other things since having that warning might make some people avoid the product. though i can't say i'm an expert in xitol candies, i just have a diabetic mom so i happen to know certain sugar replacements exist, so take what i say with a grain of salt.

I have to agree with Peter. Goes to school, racks up huge student debt. Decides to pay it off by opening up a business immediately afterwards. It goes bust. More debt. Takes voluntary bankruptcy to wipe the slate clean. (Screwing over his initial investors.) Then turns around, starts up a new business, invests $0.oo of his own money into it because he has none to invest. At the start he says he wishes he hadn't gone through that. But he's learned from it.... No, he hasn't. He started up a brand new business immediately. He's already gotten into stores, and I'm sorry but his weekly sales are modest; at best. And it turns out that this company of his also has gone bust. He's learned nothing from the failure of his first business.

How is being bankrupt the easy route out. Ok I get it, he walked away from his debt but people don’t do that for the shits and giggles. That follows you around, your not just rid of the debt like that any money made within a certain time frame which varies depending on every person will go to them minus what they deem living expenses. Your pride is gone. You have to declare it to certain people. Being declared bankrupt really isn’t easy. Gone why do people who are sitting on stacks always so far away from reality. EDIT: yeah people shy away from it because people like him judge anyone the second it comes out of there mouth. He’s legit come onto national TV and told everyone. That takes bigger balls then that guy has. Don’t know why I’m so damn defensive over a guy I don’t know a product I don’t care about though.

Jenny's head doesn't attach properly to her body. I know a homeless chap who believes that many people are artificial humans, created by aliens stitching bodyparts together. It always gave me a good laugh till I saw Jenny. She's clearly been stitched together, and her head attaches really badly. I believe it fell off and rolled around the floor at one stage, the other dragons had to sign a nondisclosure agreement...The other possibility is that she's a Cyberdine Systems model 101, built with whatever head happened to be lying around in the spare parts bin. Jolly odd. Cheerio!

@thefonzkiss
@thefonzkiss 2 ай бұрын
Wheatgrass is incredibly strong you can’t give someone a strong one like that straight off. They’ll get headaches if they drink that. You have to start with about half a teaspoon and increase daily. Putting sweetener in it is totally the opposite to why anyone would want to drink wheatgrass.
