I don't know about that, I'd rather have a p pumped 24 valve 5.9 with an eaton or spicer manual behind it. There's a lot less to go wrong than a HEUI engine with an auto. It's a lot easier to turn up a 5.9 cummins if you want more power too. The cats are good engines, but the allisons are pretty overrated due to being about the only decent part in the GM duramax trucks.

Meh. Quite often, an insult has more to do with how a person chooses to take a comment like that rather than saying something about the fella that delivered it. I imagine that was intended as a friendly ribbing rather than a sharp jab. But then, I failed sensitivity training, so what do I know?

I worked for a guy as a mechanic/ welder and fabricator for anything you could think of on a farm or his seed cleaning plant. One day he decides I'm busy and welds a grain truck tailgate that was busted in one corner. This is a grey color truck box, and he paints his weld yellow with a spray can ! I just took one look at it thought what a mess and said he didn't need to highlight his crappy underpowered gasless mig weld with yellow paint, people would still see it without.

I am unfamiliar with the F550 steering wheel mounting system so take this with a grain of salt. You may be able to find a machine shop with a rotary broach capable of cutting the hex in the center of your interior matching steering wheel hub. Also, you can get hex tubing and replace the center. Hope this helps solve your problem. The truck is looking good! Thanks for the great channel.

I love how fast this is coming along. I enjoy hearing him talk through the obsticles and solutions. I myself, see the problem and then stress over it for a few days until I force myself to just do it. This project would never get finished. Lol
