I have to give props for your ability to fly by the seat of your pants, but everyone does enough of that as it is. What I want to make known that people take for granted. The gentleman that does the hard parts that no one gives recognition to, that's the man behind the cameras. Plus he's the late night shift too, because not only does he create excellent work of organizing all the footage to something that everyone enjoys. He also spends endless hours sampling music to make it a real pleasure to listen to the tunes that he mixes into the storyline. Which although I have a Great passion for most everything to do with the combustion engines, and the vehicles attached to them. I have a even Greater passion for excellent music, of many flavors, but the Blues just top everything, and the Man hiding in the background has excellent taste in music. Especially considering that he's limited to the archives of Bluptubes dungeons for his source . Thank you, and you do most excellent job Sir.

Great work Rich! Such a nice gesture to Andy. Coming together very nicely. Fired right up, although there's still stuff to sort out its so close to being "finished," even though builds like this that are custom are never truly finished. You'll be adding/ changing things here and there most likely down the road. Great build. Sucks about Andy's ear infection. Hope you both feel better and get well ASAP. I have bad sinus problems that is all in my ears as well. Gives me major pressure and headaches that are horrible and need prescription meds for it. I guess that's life LOL 😂 Awesome work Rich!

On my LBZ after replacing my intake y bridge, for access purposes I unplugged my fuel pressure regulator on the backside of the cp3 high pressure fuel pump. After I was done, I started my truck and it started clacking away and sounded like a 7.3. Turns out it was commanding full fuel pressure at idle because I didnt clear the diagnostic code before starting. In short, take a peek at your dtc’s through the obd2 hopefully it’s a simple issue
@charlesdavis6083

I know it's kind of hack, but if can't you just run one MAF and basically tune everything double? (Run it like a giant 4 cylinder)? That or bring both intakes into a giant filter housing and run 1 huge MAF inlet

Engine sounded rough when you were under the hood. Sounds more like a 7.3 than a Duramax. MAF could have something to do with it, but it sounds more like a fuel issue, possibly too much pressure. A fuel issue would also easily trigger limp mode, limiting it to 2k.
@jonathanm4717

Wow, Looks Great!, But it sound like it's running in "Tractor Mode" (running on only 4 cylinders), check your injector wiring! One injector wire not connecting will cause 4 cylinders to cut out.

I wonder if the Bosch sportsman system would work on the duramax? It works great on the cummins engines to completely replace the computer then you wouldn't have to worry about any of the drama stuff that makes it go I to limp mode and etc.. and it makes tuning a million times better. But the truck is coming along awesome ❤❤❤ grest job guys ❤

Here (overseas), we use to give the ecu to some guys who do marine conversions. Those normally don't use the maf sensor, since it's one of the major troublemakers with salty air. Up to the particle area the maf sensors are only used to calculate the max fuel amount, so if you're not behind a specific emissions rule it should be possible without it. But, maf sensors can be cheated very easy via pipe diameter/mm2 area. So, if you devide the square mm2 in half (by putting the sensor into a smaller housing)and put it into one charge pipe it should be fine... Or like you already mentioned use some kind of box to stimulate maf out of temp and map, like the DET3 from ecu master (cheap and got a special mode for extract that purpose) Or you could take one maf in every charge pipe and add those analog together. Of course that would require electric Vince to show up 😂

As an example, biggest stuff I’ve done are engine/drive train swaps. But that’s on vehicles already on the road. Or accident vehicles I’ve had to get structural safety standards certificates. What’s the “proper” process with a vehicle like this. Using the C10 Vin makes the most sense, that’s what the truck is rolling down the road to other motorists. It’s not a 2015 bus, nor a “home built” title candidate. Thanks to whoever helps me out

I deal with depression on and off. Mostly on. But internet haters really get to me. It really cuts deep when I make a mistake and get slaughtered online. You've got at least two projects that remind me of E-Type V12 packaging. After a certain amount of time on the Autobahn, they would stop rejecting heat. Extending the bonnet any longer to increase underbonnet flow was probably not an option. It looks like you could use another engine bay just for thermal co-production.

If you have pair/sets of sensors on manifoil pressure and/or EGT this could make enogh difference to throw out a safety feature or limp mode as you now have two separate systems - in opposite of what you would have with a single plenum intake or EGT after a x-pipe.
