I bought 2 human hair wigs 13 or 14 years ago... they had a "sale" for $1100 (total $2200) They wrapped my head with something that looked like bubble wrap to get an accurate fit. The cost included a follow up appointment for cut and style. I can only imagine what all of that would cost now! Yikes! Anyway, young lady, I particularly like the short wig, so if you ever want to sell it, I'm your gal! 😘 Thanks for highlighting human hair wigs, as they do last much longer and look/feel great!

I have been wearing synthetic wigs for 10 years now and recently purchased my first HH wig and I am excited and a little apprehensive to start wearing it and taking care of it correctly. Couldn't agree more that making an investment in a HH wig is probably the way to go! I have four heat friendly synthetic wigs that I have purchased over the last YEAR - at nearly $400 each and my initial HH topper I started out with at over $400 - I could have just purchased a HH wig it it still be working wonderfully for me. Hi Denise: I know you did this video a couple of months ago but I just became interested in human hair wigs. I’ve been wearing synthetic wigs for about two years. You and I have emailed a couple of times in the past. I looked at Debra’s site but did not find any gray colored wigs at all or any short wigs. I have gray bio hair and I like to have wigs that are close to my existing color because I usually end up pulling some of my own bio hair out around the side of my face. Do you happen to know why Debra doesn’t offer any gray colors or any shorter styles? Thank you for doing so many varied videos. Your knowledge is extensive and very helpful. 🦊

These HH wigs are beautiful! Reminds me of my bio hair in my pre-teen years except my hair was more blonde & not as thick. My hair is naturally curly…loose curls…even now. It has thinned significantly especially in the front & on the sides. Denise, you look to be in your early 30’s…sometimes younger depending on the style & color you’re reviewing. Embrace it🥰🫶🙏💞

Hi! Are you talking Human Hair or Synthetic? For Human Hair I would say Stacked Hair, In Vogue Medical Wigs and Beyond are two awesome ones that I have personal experience with. If Synthetic, Raquel Welch, Gabor, Ellen Wille... but it also depends on what color you get. The darker colors will show the knotting more in a synthetic than the lighter or highlighted colors.. in human hair it depends on whether or not the knots are bleached.

Hi there! I need to ask about color. When I use to color my own hair, the color would fade over time. Also it would get dry no matter the conditioner I used. Do these human hair wigs need the same color touch ups? My synthetic wigs never change in color. I want to try human hair but need to know more info on washing and maintenance of color. Yes, sometimes they do for sure. So far none of mine have changed (I have a few that are about a year old) but I don't wear them outside in the sun very often at all.... I've heard some in the Facebook groups talk about the color oxidizing and needing to get the color refreshed or get it Toned. That is definitely one huge benefit of synthetic

Thanks for this video. I am about to buy one of her wigs but I am not sure about the knots. Based on what you have seen in person, would you have the knots bleached or do you think the tips you showed- rubbing the lace, powder, etc.. are sufficient to cover the knots. The wig I want to buy has dark blond knots, not brown. Thanks!

For me the powder and spooley work great, but each of us is so different in how sensitive we are. Since bleaching the knots weakens them, what if you were to get it as is, and then send it back to have them bleached if needed? I know it is a hassle BUT, not bleaching them is better for the wig so would be good to know if you can manage without it. ❤️

@@heywigsister Thank you so much for your response. I decided not to have the knots bleached for the reasons you stated. I don't want to compromise the knots when I can do other things to cover up the knots if they even need a cover -up. Thanks!!

How long does yours hold a curl? Did you have to straighten it before curling?

The curls will relax into a softer wave but in my experience as long as you don't sleep in the wig and you put it on a wig head or foam ball when not wearing the waves will last a LONG time (weeks, depending on how long you wear it each time and how you care for it). If you want more of a curl then you will probably have to recurl it every 3-4 wears (again, depending on the conditions you wear it in, if you brush it or play with it a lot, etc).
